Nganou refused the 8-14 Million offer to fight jones

Per your link

PFL paying him ^8 million ^ per fight
UFC was guaranteeing ^4-5 million after his win over Gane ^
UFC offering him a guaranteed 8 million plus pay-per-view points

I'm sorry but man this all sounds like bull shit to me given how much the UFC was paying certain fighters through various lawsuits
It was also contingent on him winning against Jones, which is a massive caveat. If he lost, he'd go back to whatever he earned as a challenger.
At pfl, he seemingly gets a flat rate for all his contractual Fights, hie opponents get paid more than their usual pay and he's allowed to box on the side. Have no idea how OP thought this was a gotcha. More like an own goal/ self own

Ah you guys just dont stop with this BS. When are you just going to face reality and facts of what happened??
Lmao. Tell that to yourself!!!
Bottom line, Francis got an offer, in contract with a date and pay outlined and declined it. And he himself said it was 8 million in pay.
Receipts. Share links.

So I would STFU
Yes…would be great if you do.

Early part of the interview from 8 mins to 14 mins

Ngannou says they spoke Tuesday Jan 10th, 2023 and the UFC made the offer for the fight from Campbell and Maynard for UFC 285. The UFC offered a 3 fight deal and no extension.

And I don't disagree with Francis, I think leaving was the right move as he made big money in boxing and PFL with less risk. But facts are the he declined the Jones fight.

the man refused it if he didnt refused it the fight should have happened already
so heres the proof

legit proof he ducked
this isnt a fanboy opinion but facts
As i understand-

If he lost to jones he was pretty much f'ed in the UFC, which is why he bailed.

Someone correct me if Im wrong.

If this were a real sport, they would be forced to co-promote and there would be a fighter's union.

It's not, and we should really stop being surprised by it.

Everyone on these forums needs to understand that it's illegal for UFC fighters to disclose their true salary/offers. it's written into their contracts. If a fighter says they were paid/offered X money from the UFC, it is by definition a lie (or it's a crime).

Ngannou being offered 8 million to fight Jones is a joke. He was obviously offered more, and if you genuinely believe the 8 million number, then you're a delusional idoit.

It's $8 million for the first fight - but if he loses he's back to $500K (maybe $1 million tops) and bent over a barrel with his ass in the air for a 6 fight contract or whatever.

Instead he went to Saudi Arabia, boxed twice, lost both fights, and still made $40 million; then he went to the PFL and crushed a HW that wouldn't even be top 25 in the world for another $10 million.

Based on the $50 million in his bank account he chose wisely.
Wasn't it $20m v fury and $30m v Joshua? Basically everything Jones wants
