I'm sure. BTW, it was home-made tacos last night. I ate mine inside a lettuce leaf instead of corn tortilla, and I also sauteed some extra veggies.

You're going to kill it at this meet. Based on your training--and based on what I've seen of your lifting--nine-for-nine should be the goal.

Just remember that practice makes perfect, so do some training under the conditions in which you'll be asked to compete. Get used to doing competition-style lifts. If you've got someone to give you commands, great; if not, pretend. Even if it's meaningless sub-maximal work, it'll help. The only fear I've ever felt during a powerlifting meet was when I got up to squat my first time and wasn't sure if unracking it without a judge's signal would red-light me. Most of us freak out a bit about messing up on the rules, so I advise people to rehearse before a meet, especially a first meet.

Thanks Keo!! This is exactly what I did during my training session on Monday. I played the commands out in my head while squatting & benching. I plan on continuing this with my workouts between now & Sept 15th. I'm also reading & re-reading the rules :)

Deadlift felt pretty good today, I felt like 405 was pretty easy. 455 felt heavy, but I pulled it no problem. I need to mentally just get used to "the weight is heavy but I can still lift it". I'll pull heavy again next week, and then deload the week prior to the meet.
 
How can you prep for maximum athletic performance without curls?

hmmmm.....I dunno? I've unintentionally mixed them before. But now I pretty much always get chocolate protein, so at least its a different color than the chalk...
