Great workout today! Went to Metroflex Gym in Long Beach - that place is awesome! It's a real gym. plenty of free weights, squat racks, monolift, oly platforms, bumper plates, tractor tires, ropes, prowlers, etc....No TVs.

I worked out today with a buddy of mine who is also lifting in the upcoming meet. Glad I got some practice in with Bench commands. I screwed them up repeatedly today...HAVE to remember to WAIT on the "rack" command! Squats felt great. I tied a PR with 405. And it was easy. Video coming shortly.

I was told we are lifting in kg, they are bringing equipment in for the meet.

The gym is also kind of tough to find. It's SUPER easy to miss 59th street. It's tiny.

In other news, knees are a bit sore this morning after heavy squats yesterday. So I ordered some Rehband knee sleeves from Jackals Gym. There were no different shipping options, and no delivery estimate or anything. I hope they get here in time for the meet.

Here's what I ordered: Rehband Knee Sleeves - they are 5mm thick & the USPA allows for up to 6mm thick knee sleeves in the raw division, so they should be good for competition.

I want to buy those too! Let me know what you think of them once you get them in the mail. I think they should be fine at the meet, I've seen others wearing them while competing.

Thanks for posting this calvus. I have the blue rehbands and i just assumed i can use it for raw division. I didn't realize they only allow up to 6mm (the blue ones are 7mm). I just ordered mine right now. They are really good with shipping. Last time i ordered from them, i got the product in 4 days.
