None of those squats looked high to me, calvus. It looks like you broke parallel on all of them.

Also, good to see you're working out the kinks with your commands. The more time you spend on these now, the better you'll feel about them come meet time. A lot of people don't realize just how hard it can be to perform a max-effort lift to someone else's commands.

Yep they had a lot of stones & tires. Even more outside, including a 1200-lb tractor tire. Plus strongman platforms to lift the stones on to. Lots of strongman stuff, logs, etc...
 
Thanks for posting this calvus. I have the blue rehbands and i just assumed i can use it for raw division. I didn't realize they only allow up to 6mm (the blue ones are 7mm). I just ordered mine right now. They are really good with shipping. Last time i ordered from them, i got the product in 4 days.

Hmmm...wonder if they would really DQ you over the blue ones? They do an equipment check at the weigh-ins, you could ask...

I ordered the blue ones a couple weeks ago, got the shipping email within an hour, and the sleeves a couple days later. Super fast processing and shipping.

Worked with an ex-powerlifter today who has also done some coaching of local PL Teams. He reviewed commands with me & gave me some pointers & things to look out for with the judges. Extremely helpful. And this guy also has an awesome home gym. Squat rack, smith machine, GHR, Reverse Hyper, probably 15 different bars, tons of DB's, indian clubs up to 80-lbs, Kettle Bells, tons of grip stuff & Highland Games equipment.

At the end of the PL prep, I played with some of the grip stuff and smashed his CoC #2.5. This surprised me since I've only closed my 2.5 once. So I did it 2 more times, no problem. We finally video'd my 4th close, which was the sloppiest one, but I still got it. Really felt good about this!

Didn't have much time today, have to get on the road for a meeting. Made a MAJOR change in my deadlift technique today. I took my breath before bending over to grab the bar instead of after I bend over. What a difference that makes. Deadlifts were significantly faster & easier.

I was travelling in Nor Cal Monday-Tues this week, so haven't been able to weigh myself to see how I'm doing. Also haven't worked out, but I'm deloading this week anyway, so not too worried about it. Going to try to hit the gym tomorrow.

This morning for breakfast at the Southern Kitchen in Los Gatos, CA I had eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy & grits.....not bad:

By the way, rehband knee sleeves came in yesterday and i tried them out. I got 1 size smaller than the recommended and it is very tight. I hope you got yours too, as well as your singlet so you can try them out tomorrow when you deload.

Yep I got my knee sleeves....and the singlet. The singlet is pretty sexy, I must admit. Knee sleeves seem like the perfect size. I plan on trying them tomorrow.

Light day, just getting a little work in. Squatted in my knee sleeves today, they felt good! I'm deloading this week, prepping for the meet on Saturday. Weight is on target, weigh-ins are Friday morning.
