I unload my groceries. it occurs to me I haven't weighed in on the original issue only on BFNM being a jerk. I don't think sonny did the right thing, I would have taken the box out to the guy's car and not given it a second thought (it's called customer service). But I don't think if the guy grabbed the box after being denied service and bumped into a bunch of shit to try to prove that I should have carried the box it would have been justified. Two wrongs don't make a right it just makes two guys who's mother should have been kicked in the stomach while pregnant. The primate minority on this planet has real math problems in that way.
Yes, the guy was a pussy. Everyone including him should be legally required to put their young an able ass into a blue collar job for a couple years so they know what it's like and can condition themselves to carry a 20 lb fucking box and not live in their rich pappy's wallet and slip easily into white collar life. And yes, sonny should have carried the box for him, not to mock him, not to make him feel weak or feable, but because it would have made him more likely to come back to the establishment and continue doing business with them. If you have a job, it's in your description to perform in a way beneficial to the business and your employer. that's why you get a paycheck, that's what it means to have a job.
it does not, however, mean that you have to please everyone, especially when when you're really busy or dealing with a dickhead that thinks his shit don't stink and is going to be an ass about not getting some assistance with something he can easily carry. Judgement calls must be made, and the girl that gave BFNM a "i'll fuck you if you carry it" smile may have thought that by him carrying it she could better serve other customers with the time she saved. Was she right? I dunno, I wasn't there. Is this whole concept so fucking ridiculous that I'm the only one who grasps the very nature of it all?
