In the first case my boss wasnt doing my dirty work. He was protecting his own interests. When you are at a business meeting with potential clients, everything you do can be viewed one way or the other. He didnt want to take the chance that this guy was going ask one of the people there that we were trying to get as customers, to go get their own car. Nor, was he going to take the chance for me to do something that would reflect his company in a negative way. He took care of the situation, as he saw fit. Not for my beneft for his. I dont make any more money if we got these clients or not, he does. Thats why he handled it in his way, not let me handle it in my way.
In the second case the accountant made far more money than I will probably ever make. If he couldnt handle anymore clients he shouldnt have taken me as one. That was his choice, not mine. I didnt ask to be put in that situation, and I took care of it as how I saw fit. I wasnt going to go out of my way, loose money and time in the process, just so he could save money.
And let me give you a little hint, everybody works for a living. What in the hell does it matter if you work a blue collar job or are putting yourself through school, do you want a cookie or what. Join the club, numbnuts, and get in the back of the line. Do you want a round of applause or what.
I dont expect people to give two shits about what I have had to go through, or what I do. I dont go around pretending I deserve some sort of respect because of it. Obviously, you do.
