Nice rumor, I will believe it when I see it, and I will watch it when I believe it. I do not believe the UFC has marketed this rumor as a number one contender fight. I do not believe those who say a Chandler win would show he is over rated, or not deserving to be fighting top talent.

Are you saying that Arman beating Chandler doesn't prove that Chandler is overrated and shouldn't be fighting the top talent? If so, I would agree. Arman winning wouldn't prove that. It's already been proven that Chandler shouldn't be fighting top talent because of his 4 losses to top talent in his past 5 fights. Normally, people take a step backwards to try and regain that momentum, not just get constant do-overs til the dice roll the way he needs them to.

I think this is UFC's way to give Chandler his last lay up fight to see if they can get anything good out of him. If he loses to Arman there is literally no one left for him to fight in the top 5. I say that because if I'm the UFC I am trying to make Holloway vs. Oliveira for International Fight Week.

I understand the UFC's position here. Do what you can to try and get Islam a big name fight with the lack of contenders in the division. So they probably hope Gaethje beats Hooker and if that does not work then hope Chandler beats Arman. This way they can make either Islam vs. Gaethje or Islam vs. Chandler for Q4 2025. That being said I hope Arman mops the floor with Chandler.

It’s totally ridiculous if they really try to do everything to push Chandler or Gaethje to get the title shot at all costs. Poirier already got his undeserved shot and we really don’t need the rest of the Huey, Dewey and Louie triplet to fight for the title. I mean how many title fights they need to lose until people realize they are not championship caliber?
And also a win against any of them, doesn’t add anything to the champions legacy, but for some reason his manager is pushing for these fights too.
