Using Military Jets for Deportations Is an Ugly, Wasteful Spectacle

The standoff was sparked when two U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III cargo planes filled with deportees were turned away from Colombian airspace.

The C-17 is awesome. ..

...
But it’s an expensive aircraft to own and operate. A Boeing 737, the classic workhorse of domestic commercial flights, will have a sticker price of $90 million to $120 million, depending on the model and before discounts for buying in bulk. Boeing also makes the C-17, and depending on the year of production and the state of its continuous upgrades, its cost will range between $220 million and $340 million. A big reason for the price difference? The C-17 sports advanced military avionics, the reconfigurable payload bay, reinforced airframes, various defensive countermeasure systems, and short field/rough runway landing and takeoff capabilities.

Civilian airliners are built for fuel efficiency during cruise flight, often flying at high altitudes for long distances with a significantly lighter passenger load. A 737 uses about 6,000 pounds of fuel per hour for its two jet engines. The C-17, designed to conduct a variety of military operations that stress the airframe, which is required at times to carry exceedingly heavy and sometimes oversized loads, uses four Pratt and Whitney turbofan engines consuming about 20,000 pounds of fuel per hour. ..

Is this dementia or just stupidity? Help us understand Magats? Or does TDS make you see this as reasonable thought?

Trump calling HIS DEAL, the USMCA he negotiated in 2016 ..

"most significant, balanced trade agreement in history"

'We have big trade deficits with Canada... I look at some of the deals that were negotiated and wonder who the hell made these deals...'

Another big circle jerk. Who the fuck cares. You've got 4 years of this and 4 years to hope your democrat party can fix its self and maybe win again or this will just keep going on and you'll just keep making posts on sherdog that have absolutely no impact on the real world.

- I admire Trump dedication to cement his place as the worst president in the world. Not just america.

Ok, lets add this doozy to this thread.

The main difference between Trump Admin 1 and Trump Admin 2, was that in Admin 1, he started with smart people around him who could shut down, tactfully, most of Trumps most idiotic thoughts. A few snuck in (bleach in the body), but they mostly kept his idiocy hidden.

In Trump2 not only will his Admin not shut down his idiocy, they will tell him it is great and applaud it.

So as Biden accomplishes what Trump and all other POTUS prior failed to do and got the US out of Afghanistan, Trump now seeks to establish a permanent region in the heart of ME, following in the foot steps of the very thing that triggered Osama Bin Laden, and the formation of Al Qaeda and many of the terrorists groups that formed in the region.

Have no doubt, that should Trump get his wish and build Trump Gaza Resort, and other tourist traps in the region, the terrorist organizations in the region will grow and send regular groups to also enjoy the resorts in their own way. And they will be thrilled to find americans there when they arrive, including US troops.

Trump's Gaza plan for 'Riviera of the Middle East' triggers international condemnation

Conservative commentator and Journalist David Brooks predicted this stream of stupidity from the Trump Admin and how we would see Trump back down and spin them as wins, once he saw the public reaction to his stupidity other than from his magats who would be clapping like seals.

The Six Principles of Stupidity

This will be Trump's "Infrastructure Week" of his term 1. Something he would repeat his admin was going to do over and over weekly, to make America great as 'no one knows construction and infrastructure like Trump', and yet he failed miserably but thankfully Biden picked up the ball Trump dropped and was able to deliver the touchdown.

Trump wants an Iran nuclear agreement. Lmao, the man tore it up in 2018. Trump keeps doing this shit where he creates a problem and then if he gets a solution he sells it to his stupid audience as a huge victory. I can’t stand this administration. Same with the calls to Mexico and Canada. Already deals in place but Trump presents it as something new. Sigh…..

it is Trump's only move.

Since NAFTA's inception, there was a mechanism within it, which was used many times, to negotiate terms that any country found unfair, after the fact. Trump was not the first to get negotiate and get concessions to it. He just cancelled it first, and rebranded it and then did the same thing that could have been without that. That was because he hated Reagan getting credit for NAFTA and how many referred to it as 'the greatest wealth generator in N.America' and instead he wanted USMCA to get all future credit and it to be called "Trump's Trade Deal'.

it was the same with 'Trump's Wall'. Prior to Trump sections of the existing wall, that were in need of repair were always repaired or replaced. Trump built an astounding insignificant amount of 'new wall' and instead just cited the 'repaired and replaced' wall as his 'new wall', taking credit for nothing.

It is what grifters do. Nothing. While looking for ways to take credit for what is normally done.

Lets all predict what measure Trump has announced and will fail on next but he will claim some empty gesture as a win and his magats will clap like seals.

We know he failed on 'his tariffs' and was forced to back down because both Canada and Mexico called his bluff, when he demanded they not retaliate with tariffs of their own on the US, as that would cause issues in the American market (stock market down turn, recessionary forces, etc). So Trump looked for a way out and proclaimed Canada committing to do, what they had already committed to do in December while Biden was in power was Trump win. Mexico, under Biden had already committed to sent troops to the border but Trump claimed that commitment to do what they had already committed ot do, as his win.

Magats then clapped like seal at the masterful negotiations of Trump.

So what is in the pipeline now:

- Trump is floating a "New Iran deal" that could limit them without war. What is already being called "The Iran Nuclear Deal 2", which would be a way for Trump to claim a victory in simply canceling the prior deal and putting a new version in place, instead of just negotiating new terms into the prior deal. He did the same with NAFTA and USMCA.

The America First Potus switching to expansionist Neo Con like agenda of American expansion thru American might and international influence :

- Gaza at the New Riviera of the Mid East.
- Canada as the 51st State
- US taking over the Panama Canal
- US taking over Greenland

I think we all agree Trump will fail on 100% of these. He is a terrible negotiator, and other countries, such as Canada and Mexico have already figured out you just offer him an empty talking point win, and you beat him. So this is more about the order these will fail and which Magats will clap like seals for, claiming the genius of Trump.
