Khamzat vs GSP

I dont know where this idea came from. I suppose Borz is a little larger..

Who do you choose prime for prime though?

170 GSP by Decision
185 Khamzat by Decision

Nearly lost to a past prime Lightweight sized Gilbert Burns
Clearly defeating Burns and beating Usman while injured is a lot better than losing to a pint-sized Serra, if we're looking at their less spectacular performances.

we saw GSP struggle with Condit's height/reach. Now imagine Khamzat who is built similarly but with twice the strength. I don't see how GSP would even go about engaging. Just a nightmare matchup for him.
Nah, he was playing with Condit until he got caught by his weird kick

Depend if it's pre-USADA or post-USADA Hendricks. Not the same person. They even have two different social security numbers. That's true.

yeah, post-usada fat hendricks is prey. roided to all hell hendricks defends the takedown and ko's chimaev

Great fight. GSP stuffs most of the takedowns and jab fucks to a 49-46 or 48-47

GSP over anyone at WW, ever, and that's not likely to change any time soon. he's the friggin GOAT.

At 170, prime GSP all day...at 185 it is more interesting.

I still take prime GSP over anyone at WW. Too fast, too explosive, too well-rounded, and took everyone down.

At 185 it may be a different ballgame. Khamzat could compete a LHW, while there was brief talk of GSP being able to make LW. At some point, size matters...but it isn't like Khamzat has looked 'unstoppable' at MW. The Usman fight seems rather relevant here...and prime GSP is better than prime Usman, never mind that version of Usman (and on short notice).

Struggle?

50-45, 50-45, 49-46.

At welterweight? Easily GSP. Khamzat can't even make weight reliably at 170 pounds. And sorry but beating Kevin Holland and Gilbert Burns isn't that impressive.

GSP smokes Khamzat at 170 pounds. At 185 pounds? Khamzat wins if he can take down GSP via size advantage. Otherwise GSP wins at 185 in a striking match as well.

Lol. Hamzat is a terrible match for George. Hamzat would win however he wants. He is bigger with elite grappling. George barely fought wrestlers and grapplers at all other than 5ft6 and under men.

I would go with GSP.

Could see GSP sticking him with the jab/leg kick outside like Usman was doing with his straight shots. He won't be pushover in the wrestling/grappling like DDP was and having Danaher in his corner will help too.

The revisionists on here that apparently started watching MMA after covid hit never cease to amaze me.

At 170 GSP wins by being better at literally every facet of the fight.
