is gsp over fitch the most dominant performance in the history of mma?

UFC never got prime Shogun

The one that beat Machida was held together with bamboo rope and steel pins by then
I said Prime - ish . I know the Injuries but dude was still in his 20s when he fought Machida. Anyway there no version of Sho that beats that version of Bones . Bones 11- 14 wax just an unstoppable force.

Volkanosvki vs Zombie was pretty damn dominant

Also if you're going for a GSP fight the most dominance he has shown was in GSP Vs Serra 2

Also if I have to vote for one fight it's Silva vs Griffin. That wasn't even dominance that was clownery

You could argue the most dominant victories are the ones that are thoroughly dominated and then finished. Jon Jones vs Shogun comes to mind. I could not believe Shogun was dominated like that and forced to tap to strikes. This is an oldschool Chute Box fighter we are talking about.

Absolutely. The Crow just kept eating punches, and was all swollen. Franklin was teeing off on him.
I forgot about that fight. I remember thinking it would be competitive and then Franklin just completely dominated him. It made Anderson Silva's domination of Franklin in his next fight all the more impressive.

Penn vs Joe Daddy also

Also Penn vs Kenny Florian. Not as bad but still was a schooling.

Hell even Penn Vs Sherk was like that.

Sad that BJ was delusional and couldn't manage his career properly. Chased GSP at WW when he absolutely didn't belong there, and then fought way way too long

To be nominated as the most dominant win ever, you have to dominate every aspect of MMA — that means the stand-up, the takedowns, the wrestling, and the grappling. Khamzat only won 2 out of 4, so it can’t be called the most dominant overall performance ever, just the most dominant wrestling performance. Hell, DDP even had a sub attempt, while Khamzat had zero…

Obviously there are fights that were more dominant where the opponent is steamrolled and finished, but as far as decisions go, GSP vs Fitch was a lopsided beating overall but Fitch was competitive in round 2. Did Max have ANY major moments in the Volk 3 fight?

GSP Fish could have easily been stopped in the 1st round without much complaint.

The ref let him become the elephant man.

in terms of dominating a fighter of that high a caliber, yeah it's up there. there have been beatdowns involving lesser fighters of course but fitch had a huge win streak going and was the #2 by a country mile and GSP just made him look silly. the other one that comes to mind (as mentioned earlier in the thread) was cain JDS, either fight. you could make a case there too.

Yeah he blew out his knee for the third time in Machida 2 fight and that was him done being an athletic fighter, he was a plodding brawler after that.

Even if he had no i juries he wasn't beating that version of Bones though he likely doesn't lose that badly though
