This is simply ridiculous. The guy fights once a year. He's a solid wrestler and he clowned a woefully unprepared DDP, but he has a ton of fights / defenses to go before even entering such conversations.
I think Khamzat is the greatest middleweight ever. But I would just add a small qualifier to that.
Khamzat is the Great Middleweight ever, who is slightly better than two old welterweights, Usman and Burns. I would be in agreement with that statement.
There's a difference between being the GOAT and the BOAT.
GOAT is about actual accomplishments/ resumé. BOAT is about who you think in theory is/ was the best at a certain point in time.
I don't think a single MW in history beats Khamzat right now, but he doesn't have the actual accomplishments yet to claim GOAT status or even close yet.

His point seems to be fictional matchups with all the best MWs in their prime, and that Khamzat would be a favorite in that scenario.
That doesn't mean that he's guaranteed to win against everyone.
That's not unreasonable, but to be the actual GOAT, he needs to rack up defenses.
I expected more from Zahabi.
Why stop there? Let's have hypotheticals if Khamzat had the training camps, training partners of Anderson's years of reign(2006/2013), the sports science, and training facilities are so much better now than those days, but the hypotheticals never involve those scenarios.
Burns fight was at 170 lbs where he was dying to make weight (and Burns was fucking legit as fuck back then) and Usman is the 2nd best WW of all time, didn't have to cut weight, stylistic nightmare matchup, prepared for a completely different style opponent and still got the win.
GOAT requires longevity. Just because he's favored against champions of the past doesn't automatically make him a GOAT. MW champions have historically been strikers so it's easy to envision Khamzat winning those match ups.
I think Firas just got too excited in what he witnessed in that fight, He believes and assumes that Khamzat can beat any MW that ever existed in MMA. Therefore he thinks Khamzat deserves that honor of being the greatest in that weight class. When he forgot he has to execute and fight to prove that still. Still too much work has to still be done, until we can crown Khamzat the greatest MW.
