Media Jones rejected 30 million offer to fight Aspinall

Everyone wanted Bisping, they knew it was the easiest path to get to the title, come to find out he only had one eye the whole time too, not to mention 50 year old Hendo just took Bisping to a close decision.

But Bisping made it to the actual belt, so GSP had no choice but to fight the actual champ. Gane did not make it to the actual championship and there's no guarantee he would, which is why fighting him as a contender was Jones' best chance to get the belt.
So fucking insane right? Jones fought Gane and Stipe back to back, to even compare that to the level of 39 year old Bisping with one eye. Wait Ngannou is a fake champ too because that's who he beat to be champ and defend his belt.
Now you're being deliberately stupid. This is disappointing, I never thought you were one of those online dipshits. Fighting a retired, inactive, aged Stipe is different than fighting the Stipe that held the championship 4 years earlier.

I'm being the normal one, neither GSP/Jones/Silva, any of them after done anything really worth much at their secondary weight class. None of them truly have amazing wins in the 2nd weightclass, you can discredit all of them. But objectively, 32 year old Gane + 42 year old Stipe > 39 year old one eye Bisping. Whether you want to discredit it like it's nothing, you could still say it's a larger jump for a weightclass and still more on paper than any of his competition.
No one is saying they have amazing wins. Aside from saying insanely stupid things, now you're lying about what the conversation actually is.

GSP fighting a vulnerable champ and then retiring is much better than fighting a hand-picked contender for the belt and then ruining the division by refusing (for years) to fight anyone but Rich Franklin.

That's because he was being robbed by groups of yes men around him... like most dumb people who get money.
that's irrelevant. michael jackson bought a fairy tale wonderland. john daly gambled over 50 million away. however much they make, they figure out how to spend. doesn't matter how it happens, point is it happens. frequently.

They're just mad they waited 17 years hoping to maybe possibly one day see Jones lose
I already saw him lose a few times. It's hilarious that he basically paid 30M to preserve his record that was nowhere near perfect in the first place. Given the amount of money involved this has to be the biggest duck not just in mma, but in the history of all of combat sports

The bitterness that seeps through every pore of your body from never seeing Jones get KO'd, subbed, or cleanly swept 5-0 or 3-0 in a decision like all your other favourite fighters can be smelled through my monitor.

Captain Herb indeed. A bitter one.

I'm just laughing at the situation. You, on the other hand, sound bitterly dejected that your hero whimpered away with his tail between his legs instead of taking a $30M beatdown like a man. Shows you how much respect he has for people like you who spend everyday on the internet typing reams of excuses for him. Absolutely none.

Insanely funny to work your whole career to protect your non-existent aura and legacy only to end up going out like a fat pussy anyway. The last thing anyone remembers from "the GOAT career" will be turning down an astronomical sum of money to face the interim champion of his own division <lmao><lmao><lmao><lmao>

Buddy we're all well aware if Jones had ever gotten KO'd in 13 seconds or subbed in 60 like his GOAT contemporaries you guys would NEVER handwave it away like you do for them.

We all know how bitter you guys are over Jones retiring without any of the horrific and/or embarrassing losses you guys had to suffer for all your other fighters. You take it out on the nitpicks you can because you can't post him being defeated like you spent 17 years hoping to see.

SAD!

Add 30 mil now.

I said it before the truth is probably in the middle.

I imagine Jones probably said I'm retired but I'll consider it for 30 million. Thinking the UFC would not do it, they did and Jones thought about said yes. But fell back on that safety net of I'm retired I told you that in November and he did tweet about being retired and some other vague stuff. Saying UFC still wanted him to be champ, etc
Say what you will Areil, but Ariel has literally never been wrong when reporting. . The truth is not in the middle, it's in front of your face.

Why the fuck would you pay 30 000 000 dollars to him? That ppv would sell like 800k and next mf would ask like 40 000 000.
The Sardis had ponied up most of the money. It's like pennies to them.

Zero proof this actually happened

You know through the entire ordeal the one thing Jones never came out and said? That UFC wont pay him his worth or match his number. If they werent that would be the first thing he would be saying, the UFC knows my price, pay me and i'll fight Tom. He never did.

Same shit Dana said happened, he agreed then backed out shortly after.

If there was ever a chance for Ariel to take shots at UFC or Dana and put the blame on them he would take it in a second. If it was Jones said pay me 30 mill and I'll fight and UFC said no then Ariel would be more than thrilled to put that out there to say UFC is cheap etc.

Fact he's actually saying no UFC gave him the money and its Jones tells you its true.

But Jon is a narcissistic liar, so we shouldn't believe anything he says in the first place.
