Rumored Jones pulls out of Aspinall fight??

The only thing that matters is that Tom is interim champ and Jones is sitting champ. That's all the fight needs to make 100% sense. Tom shouldn't have to defend an interim belt. Nobody should.

its not a usual scenario. jon is goat. tom never defended his title. you make a goat fight. you dont hold up a division and a rising star for a year +++

This is beyond stupid, the headlines that get tossed around. I've heard fight is on or off a million times now between this forum, fb, and reddit. I'm not believing anything until Dana does his dumb instagram reveal for either Jones/Aspinall or Aspinall/Gane or something.

I think you meant this fight is never going to happen (which I agree with), as opposed to this fight makes no sense.

This fight makes all the sense, business-wise, competition-wise, legacy-wise, fan excitement-wise. It won't happen, but it's the most sensical fight to make in the UFC in years.

Out of all the potential ducks, jones is the most certain, too much to lose, too risk averse, too smart.

it doesnt make sense. jon is goat. tom is interim champ with 0 defenses. jon should vacate and fight someone with accolades not the next guy the ufc wants to market.

I asked even though I knew the answer. His reasons are mostly BS.

And he stopped saying it the moment Poatan lost and that fight went out the window. The only reason to drop the HW belt was a non title fight with Poatan. That’s not happening
