Media Jon Jones: Aspinall "Hasn't Proven ANYTHING" To Fight Me - WOULD Fight Alex Pereira For "Legacy"

I am huge Bones fan, but this does not make any sense man. Tom is the interim HW Champion he needs to be your next fight.
I've seen exactly what happens when Jones can't just bully people around. That's a bad match up for him and at least his managers know it.

I guess you can't blame Jon for trying to get an easier fight for more money. He was never going to fight Tom because Tom is too big and skilled. I just hope the HW title isn't held up for longer.

Aspinall is too big, powerful, fast, and skilled for Jones. Keep in mind Jones nearly lost against Santos and Reyes. He knows deep down that Aspinall would make quick work of him hence the constant ducking and the need to look for easier fights.

If there’s any justice, Stipe will beat Jones so he stops holding this division hostage. This fraud doesn’t deserve to be called HW champ.

This is a historic duck job that should absolutely stain whatever is left of Jones legacy.

This is garbage. Jon and Dana ruined the heavyweight division.

It's so bullshit because the answer was so fucking obvious too.

They should have had Jon drop the belt, promote Tom to undisputed HW and made Jon vs Stipe for the BMF belt.

Think about it. Max wins, but he doesn't defend it so wtf are we even doing? Then, he gets knocked out without defending so now the BMF is back to joke status after having SOME credibility with the Gaethje win. It's already been an ad-hoc belt so there is really no lineage to worry about anyway.

I don't think most people hate this fight, they hate the matchmaking. If Jones wants fun fights, let him have them, but it makes no fucking sense for a title and shits all over the UFC's kayfabe once again.

For Jones + Stipe - Neither one's resume really changes much with Nth title defense. But neither has a BMF belt on the resume, which is something unique and still allows for PPV points (as if that rule were real). And with the two GOATs fighting at HW like this is a great spot to sell them as the baddest motherfuckers on the planet. Jones has 2 dogs for fucks sake.

If completely motivated by money, I’d rather fight the fighter of the year, with vicious KO’s. Not the guy who had Belol headline his “championship” fight card & only hardcores care about.

I honestly don't give a flying fuck about anything Jones says, just give up that fake belt he has since he just wants to cherry pick contenders
An absolutely hilarious duck to end his career

Like it or not, Jones is right.

Aspinall is "hot" — but he actually hasn't done anything.

Serge Pavlovich = over-hyped dud. Never actually did anything either.
Failed and lost, against mediocre opponents.

Alex Pereira = LEGIT legend in kickboxing.
Alex Pereira = ALREADY LEGIT LEGEND in MMA

Has beaten multiple Champions, while Aspinall has beaten none.

Jones is correct in his decision-making.

Pavlovich was a on a 6 fight first round KO streak when Tom stopped him in the first round, hes also about 30lbs heavier than Alex with a 5' reach advantage. Poatan was getting knocked out cold at MW last year lol. He would lose the majority if not all fights vs Pav, Blaydes, Volkov, Spivac and Tybura ie Toms top 5 wins, never mind vs Tom himself. Gane would most likely beat him at his own game too.

In the end it's not about the belt; it's about the fighters. He should drop the belt and just fight Alex that way. It's a win-win; the heavyweight division can finally move on, and the UFC would still get a massive Jon Jones pay-per-view, hell, create a fake BMF+ belt.

Probably makes too much sense for Jon though.

Ok. Technically, what Jones is saying is true. Aspinall won't significantly add to Jone's legacy if he wins, however it will SEVERELY detract from it if he loses.
That said, it's a bit disingenuous. To not fight the interim champ and unify the belts, especially when that fighter has, for the most part, cleared out the division, sends a clear message... I don't want to risk it.
Pereira is worth that risk because he's the UFC's hottest ticket right now, and has won championships in TWO divisions. He's the money fight AND the legacy fight. Not to mention,
Jone's knows he could probably take Pereira down, and it would be textbook from there.

I don't think it will even detract from his legacy if he loses. He's at the end of his career and fighting a monster in his absolute prime. So what if he loses? What will really kill his legacy is ducking him.

Jones could explain what Tom needs to do to prove himself. Itd be easier to buy these reasons if he really thinka what he says

They should promote Aspinall as undisputed HW champion ASAP to end this nonsense.

Weak RDF.

Shitting on Tom doesn't hide the pitiful HW division Jon's Coward Legacy.
I guess jones has done his job and abducted and kidnapped your joy. Jon Jones is the thief of joy and enjoys stealing your happiness, like the Grinch, my son,

You cannot shit on someone who opened his mouth and wanted to sling insults and mouth off. Aspinall opened his mouth and this is the cause. I could see if Aspinall was a gentleman but he was not. He should of taken a different route with Jones, rather than go into the gutter with a man who enjoys the gutter fondly.

Aspinall is not a shot caller, he is not a big name, does not have a resume, and wanted to cut the line in front of vets who had a previously booked fight but he is just not that guy.
