Rumored Jack Della Maddalena not fighting anytime soon

It's expensive to put on events in Australia these days, I'm sure the UFC figured they could fill the card with mainly cheap local fighters, at least early on.
What does the expense of putting a fight in australia have to do with JDM? JDM lives in australia, he received a performance bonus in his last fight, and he probably pays the same taxes whether the fight is in australia or USA, at least in USA we have international federal tax (tho we trade state tax for the local government tax where the money is made)

JDM trying to hold out for a new contract, which doesnt look great after uncle dana gave him performance bonus. I dont see how the location matters. Isnt australias tax only like 5% higher than american federal + nevada state taxes.

Sodiq Yusuff commented on the tweet and said "My only ever bonus was in Australia. The pain I felt from those taxes were devastating haha"

How much more does Australia tax then the US? Anyone know? Out of his 50k bonus, did he get only 25k?

The basic tax rated are posted up quote. Not sure what his show +win totalled, but it's likely he was taxed around 30-40% of that bonus

Wasting a lot of brain power there, try reading, it's not JDM who's asking for more money.

If it's considered income tax he should be able to use the foreign tax credit and it's a wash at the end of the year I'm thinking but I haven't seen the man's paystub either.

Unfortunately, the thread title is misleading. JDM not complaining about himself. His potential opponents are the ones demanding additional compensation.

It’s crazy how many people read a thread title and comment and don’t read just a couple of sentences. Lol
It's the OP's fault for fucking up the title, people have the attention span of a goldfish, all they read are thread titles and then they comment immediately without even giving it a second thought.

However, due to the fighters demanding significantly higher pay to fight in Australia that the UFC are unwilling to pay nothing has been agreed yet.

Something about the syntax of that sentence is just screaming at me. Maybe a comma would fix it, but there's just so many better word order choices

I really mean the UFC profit margins will be skinner than usual, so they want to spend less on fighters if they can. I don't know the difference between our taxes and the US, I think they're subcontractors officially so no idea how it works for fighters.

My state of Victoria recently cancelled the Commonwealth games, this was quite a big thing, we were mean to host. There was a budget blowout from pre COVID of around 2 billion and it went up to 6 or 7 in the end. There's a few political layers to this one but overall putting on a event in this part of the world is bloody expensive post COVID.

Travel is on the UFC.
Last I remember, yes, but only at the most basic level and at a minimum amount.

And probably at a minimum time from the event too if they're also paying board

He's not complaining about pay...This thread will be filled with Virtue Signalers complaining about fighters pay more than "company bootlickers".
I mean, people are still free to "virtue signal" on behalf of the potential opponents. And you are still a bootlicker, so..

cut him hes irrelevant he doesn't deserve to get paid more! he doesn't sell any ppv!
Look everyone. This moron named himself after his favorite drink

why would they want guys to reject fights?
I dunno probably guys like Arlovski who are on expensive contracts they don't get a return for. Or guys they want to punish. I know they have to offer 3 fights a year to every fighter, but I'm not sure every fighter can fight 3x a year. All speculation on my part, I'm just imagining what happens behind the curtain of fight negotiations.
