Is Aspinall's eye really hurt or not?

How about I drive over to the doubter's homes and use my 82 inch reach to poke their eyes?

All eye injuries I've experienced in boxing had significantly levels of pain.

Same. I feel bad for him, but he hasn't technically defended his belt since June 2025 when he was promoted to HW champion.

I honestly feel like the UFC might be internally giving him until the end of June 2026 to defend his title, or at the very least agree to a title defense by the end of the summer.

I agree that I'd like to see Pereira fight for the vacant HW title if Tom can't defend his belt soon.
They are booking April already. Every other injury gets an estimate. Even with Jiri or Hill they were able to determine right when they went to doctors they were going to be out. Just feels like an interim and a unification bout will be a big pain in the ass.

UFC probably knows it's a bad look to strip a champ after a NC in a fight, but the reality is him being champ was courtesy for waiting for Jones games. I just don't think it's the end of the world to have him fight for the title when he returns since this is serious. He's not some long decorated champ who defended his belt a ton.

There isn't any REAL evidence that he is faking anything or has any real reason at this point to fake anything. This is just the weirdness of modern social media and people creating the narratives they want to believe regardless of obvious realities. The Sherdog eye doctors are easily debunked by real information.

I don't know who to believe anymore.
Eyeballs being fine to sit and watch TV or read a book is different than being fine to taking impacts from HW fighter firsts and fingers. If he was badly injured, expecting to absolutely know, just a handful of months later, for an organ as fragile as the eye can be, is an unrealistic ask, I think.

But, we're not really about attention spans, patience or judicious reflection on this site.

How about the ringside physician that examined him and told him he was okay to continue fighting?

Doctor could have been watching different fight on his monitor, cause eye pokes were obvious on every replay

There is a literal ringside doctor who's job is to examine the fighters and determine if they are okay to continue fighting. He told Tom he was fine and could see no damage. Tom instead refused to take his 5 minutes to recover and pranced around the ring like a child saying. " I'm fookin blind" " why are they booiiiin?" Aspinall fans love to ignore this.

I dont' trust that doctor

That means basically nothing. That's only evidence for someone trying hard to believe their own narrative.

Pot, meet kettle.
fair enough
But ringside doctor has to be on fighter's side. If I say to doctor that something is wrong, doctor has to look at it. Doctor here basically says "walk it off" but his patient says that something is wrong. I feel like doctor should have stopped the fight right then and there and since the move was illegal it should have been NC right then and there

Not really. I'm not going to paste a bunch of links because I've already had this debate, but if you looked into what an actual eye doctor would say about the situation, it doesn't take a genius. Other than that, it isn't worth debating because if you are ignoring what someone who knows what they are talking about would say, THAT is the point at which you are making up your own narrative. If you think what the ring doctor said is somehow definitive of Tom's situation, you aren't bright enough to even have this conversation. But do have a good day.

Okay did you watch the hour long documentary Tom released of him at the doctor the night of the fight? Where once again they found nothing wrong him? You guys are so ridiculous.

You should get yourself a hobby. Spending time trying to rage bait people on social media is s sign of a loser with no life.

There's 2 things to know about Brit's bad eyes, and you have to put the 2 pieces of this puzzle together.

The first is that the Brits have notoriously bad dental care.

The second is how many Brits look like this

Thus, bad eyes
Well, now I have a shiny new sleep paralysis demon
