International Illegals are self deporting in numbers never seen before

It's not that the line is long, for the vast majority there is no line. It's impossible to enter or stay legally.

This is a great chart and should be pinned to the top of every immigration thread, IMO:

My ex-gf's mom came like 7 years ago and she recently became a citizen last year. Calling BS that it's impossible.

They need to fix legal immigration if this is all going to be part of a more permanent solution. There are many, many hard working immigrants that have been a boon for this country and at the rate inequality is going, we're going to face population/workforce issues sooner rather than later. Hopefully the next time democrats are in power they'll focus on reform and not just fling the gates wide open again.

If people here illegally want to self deport that's fine I guess.

But if someone is here illegally and is gainfully employed, living by the law, working and spending, there is virtually 0.00 utility in their leaving. And that describes the vast majority of people here illegally.

I don't think the cartel drug dealers here illegally will be choosing to self deport LOL.

If deportation bars you from legal entry and citizenship then self deporting makes sense.

Take them then. The US is waiting countries that have open borders going to total shit. We are trying to turn it around before its too late. Like it it is now in many countries.

Every single empire in human history had open borders. It’s called travelling. It’s literally the reason why people like ghengis khan could dominate the world with so many different advisors feeding him ideas.

You don’t think America benefited from this diversity in anyway? Do you think if it was only ever an Anglo Saxon country it would result in the progress it had? You act like there wasn’t full blown riots between the Irish and the locals of the time?

It’s just weird for you to say these things while history paints a different picture.

Sure let's get rid of all government support and let anyone in like in the "good old days".

If you think that is a good way to to live you are crazy or stupid.

My man, the words "vast majority" are right there in my post. Your ex's gf is clearly not part of that vast majority.

That chart illustrates really nicely why it's impossible for most.

the empires that went isolationist definetely enforced their percieved borders... ming china. Japan. just like countless apon countless tribes and regions that people knew was immediate death apon being caught.

Yes there was no law preventing " travellers " but also no laws protecting travelers either.

Just because we dont have a map showing official " borders " doesnt mean people were free to travel ...... often people knew that being caught by the neighbouring tribe encroaching their hunting terrrority is death.... and literally still goes on to this day...

But sure. There was no " official borders "and people were free to travel wherever they want lol.

This is the truth...Mexico is not a poor country...its just ruled by a corrupt elite

Not fully the truth.

Mexico doesn't "have nothing," it's a middle-income country.

Per capita GDP, Human Development Index, poverty rates, extreme poverty rates, whatever measure you want to look at, Mexico is far more developed than these truly destitute, poor countries.

Yes and what happened after all those tribes after centuries of fighting? But that still goes away from my point. Every empire was multi ethnic and cultures changed over time.

When did we come to the conclusion that culture only changes due to demographics? Did America not change culturally while being a mainly white country? Culture changes all the time regardless of who comes and goes. That’s how it works.

The comical thing is to think that immigrants are so powerful they are the ones forcing the culture change.

lol... really? So thats why the han chinese still to this day .. [ also a empire that banned travellers

Han Chinese (also known as Han) are the largest ethnic group in China, making up about 92% of the population. They are also the world's largest ethnic group, with over 1.4 billion members, constituting about 17.5% of the global population.

Yeah. You twist history a lot.

Im not claiming that. I disagree with your twist on history.

DId i say that? No.

I just disagree with your oh people were free to travel kumbaya version of history lol

But this chart is not telling the full truth.

It's missing a gigantic method where people become legal - marriages and also US citizen children petitioning for their illegal immigrant parents after they turn 21.

The top part covers spouses of U.S. citizens.

Han Chinese? Do you know how many different cultures exist within China and how many different languages they speak? Tbh that’s a really racist example since there are huge distinctions between appearance within different groups. There has also been so much intermixing from the original warring tribes that came to this unified stage. That’s the point.

So many different tribes and ethnicities existed in the past but with war, growth and intermingling they became one. Most of south east Asia comes from China and intermixing and they all look different.

There are places you can walk in China and they wouldn’t even understand each other.

This whole notion of racial homogeneity is stupid since Chinese people don’t even consider themselves the same.

Eventually all humans will look the same tens of thousands of years later due to the global trade and there isn’t much you can do to stop that.

Ah yes its a racist example for .... calling the han chinese..... han chinese ? what a strange claim.

Han Chinese 汉族 [1220.84 million] The vast majority of Chinese people regard themselves as 'Han Chinese' (over 90%) 汉人 Hàn rén; that is descendents of people belonging to the Han dynasty, two thousand years ago.

The Han Chinese, alternatively the Han people, are an East Asian ethnic group native to Greater China. With a global population of over 1.4 billion, the Han Chinese are the world's largest ethnic group, making up about 17.5% of the world population.

You go tell them its racist to be all han chinese... lol

Its pretty unlikely All humans will ever look the same. That theory has disappeared as evidence shows the more we mix the more genetic variations and mutations there are.

No, it is unlikely that all humans will look the same in the future. Human evolution is a continuous process, and while some trends might emerge, complete uniformity is improbable.

We don't know, but, certainly, human genetic variation is increasing. Worldwide there are roughly two new mutations for every one of the 3.5 billion base pairs in the human genome every year, says Hodgson. Which is pretty amazing - and makes it unlikely we will look the same in a million years.

Within the past 50,000 years, most of the variation that is seen among human populations evolved," Hodgson said. "This includes all of the skin color variation seen across the globe, all of the stature variation, all of the hair color and texture variation, etc. In fact, most of the variation we are so familiar with evolved within the past 10,000 years."

its pretty unlikely global mixing will create a uniform human race . I mean siblings dont present the same...... red hair appears randomly at times. Height varies . Pigment hair colour varies. Everything varies even amongst individuals closely related.

And once again.. people were not free to travel the vast majority of lands throughout history. Borders may not have been as officiallly defined no a map because no checkpoints were needed. The people knew . Usually Often a river or a mountain.. its why literally tribes know their territory from 100s of 100s years ago . Because of natural markers and divides. This concept that everyone was free to travel is insane and there were no borders throughout is a twisting of the reality and presents a far more idealic view of the past than the historical reality.

Now that they are self deporting, they can go to their closest embassy or consulate and get a visa.

Congress, act now to update the visa policy for our neighbors.

And yes, build the wall to ensure less people die attempting to make it into the US illegally.
