Social ICE/deportation protests and riots megathread

Holy fucking shit

WTF is he doing? What an asshole. That's my Senator. The turd didn't even have to fight to get that seat. It was a Democrat gift and now he acts the fool? Make a damn appointment. You don't bum rush a press conference of a Secretary Level person. Well done Secret Service.

You are purposefully and errrantly misrepresenting my pov.
I have not misrepresented anything. That is what you've been saying and doing. Invalidating and down playing the weight of what service members are experiencing. You are sitting here and arguing about complete nonsense and getting rightfully called out on it.

I'm only focusing on those that have experienced *violent combat, hence the elevated stress causing PTSD

Why isn't it possible for you to do the same?
You are intentionally ignoring the bulk of every post I make to make an ignorant argument. Im focusing on the REAL experience of service members and putting value on all of their experiences, not just the ones that suit me.

Why isn't that possible for you?

Combat (Attacking) a foreign enemy
DEFENDING your community from disorderly civilians and KEEPING THE PEACE during "peaceful protests"

See: WEAK FRAMING
What an idiotic attempt at twisting my words. Here's why your attempt failed.

1) US citizens are not a foreign enemy

2) active duty military are not legally allowed or trained to police domestically

3) Marines are not peace keeps. We are war fighters. This is not a war.

When my brother in law came back from his fourth tour to Iraq and Afghanistan to his wife (my sister) and their 4 kids, it wasnt a week or two before he said he wanted to go back. <lmao>
One of my best buds was the same lol. Some people are just built for that shit.

US Civilians or Illegal Immigrants?

lol... kidding

I agree though. Still with the National Guard

No need to let some marines get a little too enthusiastic at their job?

I've dealt with the marine fast team working security on a military installation in a area that deadly force was authorized. Even when they didn't use deadly force they did not play games or ask questions. I f you crossed the line you were taking down hard and fast .

Bottom line is that active duty military should not be involved in this shit. If they want to pull the Guard then fine. I don't think you need them but it falls under their umbrella so I don't mind.

He's already said it himself, dipshit. Now runoff like a little bitch like you did after our last exchange.
I can here it now…

Sunday Morning,

“Mr. President did you enjoy the Flag Day Parade?”.

Trump; It was a Biggly Beautiful Birthday Gift, I Loved it!

“But sir, you said it wasn’t a birthday parade?”..

Trump: Yes, yes, It was a Beautiful Birthday Present wasn’t it…

That's my concern. Theyre gonna get themselves into deep shit by doing too much.

You think Marines would get enthusiastic about clashing with civilians....?

Seems as traumatic as being in a foreign land dodging bullets and shrapnel aimed at removing all of your limbs and ending your life
Here's how silly your logic is. Drone pilots have among the highest PTSD rates, yet by your logic shouldn't because they aren't in a foreign land dodging bullets and shrapnel.

There are many different kinds of stress in any occupation, and resilience in one area does not guarantee resilience in another.

Holy shit, I go to foxnews for a second and I see this.

Alejandro Theodoro Orellana was taken into custody on suspicion of conspiracy to commit civil disorders.

Is this real life? The feds are arresting people for handing mask out, and then charging them with conspiracy to commit CIVIL disorder? WTF does that even mean? And they did a string operation to arrest him at his home? How much money did they spend to do this? How much money will they spend on it taking it to trial? SMH

What to know about the protests over Trump’s immigration crackdown in LA and other cities

https://apnews.com/article/insurrec...tional-guard-a842f79e1c0e244039be274a6f266a7a

"Trump has ordered the deployment of roughly 4,000 National Guard troops and 700 Marines to Los Angeles following protests over his stepped-up enforcement of immigration laws.

Police made 81 arrests on Wednesday, most for failing to disperse on the second night of a curfew in downtown Los Angeles. Nearly 470 LA protesters have been detained or arrested since Saturday, according to police.

The protests intensified after Trump called up the Guard and have since spread to other cities, including Boston, Chicago and Seattle. And more are scheduled for this weekend as Trump stages a military parade in Washington."
