Social ICE/deportation protests and riots megathread

Holy shit, you're smarter than Google {<jordan}
i know. this is why you don't ask AI for answers

Yes, unlawfully entering the United States is considered a crime, specifically a federal misdemeanor offense under 8 U.S. Code § 1325, also known as "Improper Entry by Alien".
Here's why and the associated penalties:
  • Federal Law: 8 U.S. Code § 1325 makes it a crime for an alien to enter or attempt to enter the U.S. at a time or place other than designated by immigration officials, to elude examination or inspection, or to obtain entry through false statements.
  • Misdemeanor: For a first offense of improper entry, the individual can be fined or imprisoned for up to 6 months, or both.
  • Felony: A subsequent offense of illegal entry can be considered a felony, and the individual can be fined or imprisoned for up to 2 years, or both.
  • Illegal Re-entry: It's also a crime (a felony) to unlawfully reenter or attempt to reenter the U.S. after having been deported, ordered removed, or denied admission, with potentially higher penalties if the person was previously removed after being convicted of certain crimes.
you realize half of our illegal immigrants entered legally right? and again, simply existing here AS an illegal alien is not a crime.

LOL, dude the Supreme Courts can make rulings until the cows come home, but they have no power to actually enforce them. It's a fact of the flawed system we have.

I'm full blooded American comrade.
So you're cool with the executive branch defying the SCOTUS?

You live in a fantasy world, it shouldn't be hard to verify anyone and if it is, it is likely because they are illegal.
perfect, so you can tell me exactly how one would go about doing that without a trial then.
You are 100% incorrect.
no. i'm 100% correct. the house tried to pass a bill in 2005 making undocumented existence illegal, and it failed.

entering the country illegally is a crime, but half of them enter legally on visas.

You seem to be ok with the executive defying the courts. If I am mistaken, I apologize.
There was a very famous case with Andrew Jackson that lead to the Trail of Tears. He openly defied the SC's rulings and there wasn't shit they could do about it. This loophole should have been amended or fixed a very long time ago.

I think neither the left or right ever operate in any sort of good faith and it leads to dramatic and extreme results and outcomes, like were seeing here.

I can't remember an administration defying the SCOTUS in my lifetime besides the current one. So, you are against this?

It's complicated, because this kicked off because people on the left were trying to obstruct law and justice. I'm for going after bad guys, I'm not for violence against innocents. I care about the lives and well being of people on both sides. I'm not against immigration, but it has to be done in a slow methodical manner to make sure our infrastructure can sustain it.

No, it's not. You either support law and order or you don't.

The saddest part is the hard working Mexican cleaning crews will be the ones cleaning up after these worthless losers <Fedor23>

That's explicitly what I just said. Biden's Executive Branch flouted the law. Trump's Executive Branch is also flouting the law. Neither side ever operates in good faith. This is how we get extreme outcomes.

No you idiot constitution CLEARLY says ALL PERSONS SHALL HE ENTITLED TO DUE PROCESS. Not citizens, not landowners, not adults, all PERSONS. Call me a clown you can’t even read just like to obey. I tried to agree partially with you and you insult me? You’re probably a monoglot

Due Process can be as simple as an ID, Citizenship Verification, Immigration Status Verification event. There is no trial due to illegal immigrants. There is no drawn out process that has to be followed.

Biden did not defy the SCOTUS. I can tell you are just going to whatabout your way out of this conversation, and I have no interest in that. HAGD.
