Oh, I never bragged about it.
I joined at 17 (mama had to sign me in) in 1987 and I turned 18 in basic. The USAF was good to me, and it sure beat the heck out of abject poverty so, I decided to stay. I retired at a fairly young-ish age and with my pension and not living beyond my means, I can do what I choose.
No boss necessary.
But that's just me.
Knew it would trigger you. Of course you brag about it. All that career, close to 60 yo and you still have the maturity of a child who trolls with emojis instead of addressing his mistakes.
