The persona he is playing on here is that character. Everything he mentions, the way he posts etc is that characters way of speaking. He isn't that guy in real life.

I am more impressed that Crunch fitness has bumper plates and decent racks.

I am rocking a lovely hodgepodge of steel and bumper plates at home and have about 220kg (485lbs) worth of plates total.
CrossFit did one thing right normalizing that style of lifting and making gyms realise the plates will last longer if they invest in racks, platforms and quality plates.

Most of the commercial gyms in America have it now. Racks are cheap in the long run because there is barely any maintenance to it. Even newer planet fitness locations has racks and belt squats now. I think they are rebranding.

I tried it 40% into my workout. Just to do a test run. Did 12 seconds which is the limit for 1st place price. Got 2 weeks free membership voucher. Just gotta watch who I send and won't embarass me. There's 2 challenges a month. I'll be looking for them now. For fun.

The challenge is with both arms but you stay in place and pull the weight from 10 meters away. Also I wasn't the best of the gym, anyone can win who is within the price winnig time. 3 stages of win. 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks. I hope they got some other trivial shit they price. Like drinking bottles or other small shit. Also other challenges I might not win 3rd place. It's good to be challegned. Motivates. I'll be checking it out. There's 2 of this gyms near me, so I got 4 challenges total a month.
