Gable Steveson is the Khamzat Chimaev of the HW division an unstoppable force

Nobody is gonna beat Gable Steveson imho. He is discplined and has great head on his shoulders and trains with the best team in MMA history (Jon Jones, Craig Jackson, Ryan Gordon, Brain etc etc) and his team believes in him. Gable Steveson is gonna become an unstoppable force in the HW division. I think his gonna crush couple of cans and enter the UFC probably at the end of the next year and start to make some noise.

He is without doubt the next great American champ probably also GOAT-material, the sky is the limit.

When he enters the UFC his gonna come with alot of hype and he already has alot of hype surrounding him outside of the UFC and with him training with Craig Jackson, Jon Jones and Ryan Gordon is completely ridiculous and if they put just 20% of that amount of knowledge into this beast nobody stops him.

They will fast track him for sure, and he will probably be top 10 before long. Wouldnt be surprised if he runs into a roadblock before he gets all the way to the top though, someone that cracks him so hard he rethinks his life choices like Pav, or someone that subs him on the ground like Jailton. Then again the UFC may well try to mitigate the risk of him losing as much as possible on the way to a title shot.

He was not even in shape in his last fight he was 260 in the cage but said he will get down to 245.

He will become much leaner and explosive at 245. He is build like a tank plus he is fast and explosive

And yet, wrestling credentials don't automatically equate to MMA skill. It's very easy to lose that ability in MMA.

Gordon is a coach, Jones isn't. Who's his mma and striking coach?

We've seen those with huge accolades have good teams and hit big bumps. Bo Nickal recently (and he had other close fights), Rinya Nakamura, Cejudo, Mark Madsen, Gillespie, kickboxers as accomplished as Izzy or Poatan who never became UFC champ. Although HW is more shallow.

Indeed. He's had one professional fight. To call it an MMA fight would be misleading considering that he'd have won under any fighting ruleset given his skills and athleticism relative to his opponent. Even in thumb-wrestling he'd probably have been -2000. Okay, maybe only -800 in thumb-wrestling.

I don't know how dedicated he is, he's already made half assed failed attempts at pro-wrestling and the NFL.

He obviously has enormous potential but I don't know how much he wants it and he did look kind of sloppy beating that can.

They fed the guy an older aged fighter.. he didn't look impressive and stoppage was meh he looked like he was all done throwing gnp from exhaustion .

Not sure how he's standing up from full guard doing gnp on a bigger taller guy lol..

Impossible to say at the moment, he has had 1 pro fight. yes I admit UFC HW 2025 is dreadful and lacks a lot of skill so if there is one division where a newbie could do well it would be HW for sure, but we still need to see a lot more to say he is gonna be a champion like Khamzat
