Gable Steveson is the Khamzat Chimaev of the HW division an unstoppable force

The crazy part of Gable Stevenson being the Khamzat Chimaev of the HW division is that Khamzat Chimaev could go up to HW and take him down in the first five seconds and crucifix him with fookin ease in under a minute.

Straight up!

back me up on this one @Slapjit

Nah man you're talking to him like he's still Paddy O'Malley. That persona is dead and gone, sadly. @Slapjit doesn't speak T-Dot slang. Totally different thing we're dealing with here man.

Impossible to say at the moment, he has had 1 pro fight. yes I admit UFC HW 2025 is dreadful and lacks a lot of skill so if there is one division where a newbie could do well it would be HW for sure, but we still need to see a lot more to say he is gonna be a champion like Khamzat
Very true, there's only a handful of decent UFC HWs right now so even if he's just a sloppy amateur skillwise he'd probably still be top 10 purely on athleticism alone. Even if he ends up as another Greg Hardy it should still be entertaining, sign him up Dana!

History suggests otherwise. Have seen too many credentialed world class heavyweights lack the desire to kill their fellow man. Steve

Yeah so true, UFC HW is the worst its ever been, right now as we speak he would beat Justin Tafa easily and quickly, without much training. Tafa is beyond dreadful and not any better than that guy Gable just beat on the regional MMA scene, Tafa won't know what to do. But guys like Blaydes would be a huge step up and he is not ready for that, but maybe in a few years time. UFC HW needs anyone they can get, basically anyone is good signing lol.

Nobody is gonna beat Gable Steveson imho. He is discplined and has great head on his shoulders and trains with the best team in MMA history (Jon Jones, Craig Jackson, Ryan Gordon, Brain etc etc) and his team believes in him. Gable Steveson is gonna become an unstoppable force in the HW division. I think his gonna crush couple of cans and enter the UFC probably at the end of the next year and start to make some noise.

He is without doubt the next great American champ probably also GOAT-material, the sky is the limit.

When he enters the UFC his gonna come with alot of hype and he already has alot of hype surrounding him outside of the UFC and with him training with Craig Jackson, Jon Jones and Ryan Gordon is completely ridiculous and if they put just 20% of that amount of knowledge into this beast nobody stops him.

Who's Ryan Gordon?

If he starts snorting coke with Jon he's going nowhere in MMA.

And yet, wrestling credentials don't automatically equate to MMA skill. It's very easy to lose that ability in MMA.

Despite his vast wrestling skill, as well as training with Jones and Ryan, as soon as he got the advantage, this was his top control

i agree. i was just lazily trolling

He's got a lot of potential but he could still be Bo Nickal. This is heavyweight. One punch can end it. He's got a lot to learn.

Completely agreed. He's obviously got better "pure" Greco-Roman wrestling than Khamzat.

But IMO Khamzat has the best "MMA wrestling" in the sport right now. I still think Jon Jones, GSP, and Khabib were better. Merab is also in that conversation. But ya, Gable Steveson has his work cut out for him, adapting his wrestling to MMA.

Maybe he is like Bo Nickal ?

Too early to tell.

Different ball games.
If Bo Nickal could carry his ability up to heavyweight he would be top 5 though.

Lot easier to climb near the top at heavyweight with some skill.
