"Francis asked for 30 million" (he didn't)

The Francis bashing is.....

The whole basis for that story is a stupid screenshot of someone claiming to be Frank's friend and asking for 30 million.

That's it.

Fucking thing could be fake, we don't know whose number that was, screenshots are easy af to edit, etc.

The idea of a fighter just having some random friend negotiate on his behalf is laughable.

Ngannou is fucking awesome.

Seems to want to do good, monster in the ring, and keeps it as humble as a guy in his position can.
Francis is a great guy.

Anyone who hasn't heard him tell his story, please listen to the kind of hardship that he's had to endure ever since he was a child. And yet, despite him making it big today he's still always humble and composed.

It's a typical UFC ploy to bash anyone who doesn't roll over on Dana's command. It's been a thing forever.

"GSP doesn't want to fight"
"Jones caused 151 to be canceled. Sonnen was ready to fight"
"Anderson should retire"

Even the GOATs have to endure this bullshit. Dana fired Liddell and Hughes after promising them lifelong jobs. Banned Randy Couture from the UFC, even from cornering his own son in the UFC.

That's the kind of person Dana is, and has been. Ngannou obviously knew that he would be thrown under the bus and was ready for it. It's just a shame that so many so called "fans" are buying it and hating on Ngannou for fighting for his worth. The man honored his contract to the last fight. He's done his part.

It should be a man's right to choose to turn down a new offer that he fees is less than what he is worth.

Agreed.

However, if you tell fans that you're going to be an active champion and aren't, you can expect some fans to be disappointed, and rightly so.

There are too many idiots in this thread that can't grasp this concept. And their only retort is to label one as a UFC shill or play the incredibly weak white belt card.

I feel at this point the consensus is Francis left the UFC because they wouldn't let him box. Not that the Francis wouldn't have been underpaid all UFC stars are but that doesn't seem like it was the core issue here.

Look, if Francis doesn't want to fight there is nothing that the UFC can do. I've been in this bussin... ehem... I mean, in these forums for a lot of years and I can tell when I fighter just doesn't want to fight
The UFC offered him a deal, he would be the best paid fighter in the UFC HW division ever and he turned it down. It seems Francis thinks that he can earn more money fighting elsewhere against lesser competition. Good for him, I think it's probably a good idea for him. Francis is old and he's coming fron a knee surgery, he probably thinks he can't keep up with the contenders in the UFC HW division and I think he may be right. I wish him good luck.

you start with 30 and settle for 15
who knows what occured

Well, one thing is for certain, he asked for more than the UFC was willing to give and was going to make the most money the UFC has ever paid a guy to fight.

I saw a lot of talk that he turned down $8 million to fight Jones but wanted other things also.

another one talking crap
so you actually think the ufc would pay
ngannou more than they have ever paid conor?

this is the bias against nganou......totally believing anything that somebody has said, without using your head.

False advertising in your thread title. It's fair to point out that we don't have definitive proof that Ngannou asked for 30M, but to definitively say "he didn't" without proof is the same crime in reverse.

Francis can do whatever he wants to do, but I think he's overestimating his boxing skill and what he can get outside the UFC. We will see, good luck to him.

What's sad is francis explains everything and the deal offered with helwani and people are spreading lies and being evil

All this Cyril hype is insane francis destroyed him while injured

Cyril was touching for points and running so yeah francis switched it up and out grappled him.. francis fights have ben over so fast people forget who they're talking about.

He himself told in a french programm that he asked for more money amongst like 30 other things lol. Even the french journalist asked him if he doesnt think he asked for way too much…

Francis is flying around with private jets and wears 500k watches and was complaining about his pay lol. I can definately think he asked for too much.
