It's hard to measure anything accurately, but past history PPV sales is most likely a future indicator. Also projections on future profits while they can be off, are generally fairly accurate. It's rare for a analyst to be off by more than a few % points on predicting a companies quarterly earnings. UFC predictions on potential PPV buys are generally always within a 5-10% margin of error, I've never seen some abnormally high misprediction on revenues a event will generate.

I don't doubt the UFC has a formula for how much Francis will make them, and pay him based off that formula.
Not really. There are multiple people fighting in a PPV. PPV also has nothing to do with analysts predicting company profits for a quarter; you are mixing apples and oranges.

The Francis bashing is.....

The whole basis for that story is a stupid screenshot of someone claiming to be Frank's friend and asking for 30 million.

That's it.

Fucking thing could be fake, we don't know whose number that was, screenshots are easy af to edit, etc.

The idea of a fighter just having some random friend negotiate on his behalf is laughable.

Ngannou is fucking awesome.

Seems to want to do good, monster in the ring, and keeps it as humble as a guy in his position can.

The person “claiming to be his friend” is Ali Adelaziz, who is helping with the negotiations for his boxing debut.

Is there any confirmation that Francis actually wanted Ali to help him? Because Ali could just be talking out of his ass.

Worth is subjective.

He's the most exciting HW the UFC has ever had and is undoubtedly baddest man on the planet.

IMO, Boner Gane isn't that great. It's Jon vs. the guy Frank beat with one leg.

Conor made 100 million and he was as good as Francis is for all of nine seconds.

Hopefully, there will be a day when Frank does get over 100 mil.
lmao the most exciting HW the ufc had ever had
lol haha.remember the lewis fight?
prime cain and jds these two alone are 2x exciting than nganou
blo@d everywhere

Francis seems like a diva and while I doubt he asked for $30 million (unless he is the single most delusional athlete in history), I have no doubt he asked for at least twice what he's actually worth.
What percent of event revenue is he worth?

I don’t know. I’m not very invested in it tbh. I just wanted to see if I could dismantle TS’s entire premise with a 10 second google search. Mission accomplished.

Its funny that people still think Conor made 100 million

Kinda. It was still someone claiming to be his friend, but it being Ali does at least lend to it some credence. At the same time, I don't trust much of what Ali says, so eh..

Well, one thing is for certain, he asked for more than the UFC was willing to give and was going to make the most money the UFC has ever paid a guy to fight.

I saw a lot of talk that he turned down $8 million to fight Jones but wanted other things also.
Nothing that comes from Dana's mouth is for certain.

And didn't he say it's the most they've ever offered a heavyweight?

That just means it's more than the $2.5m they paid Brock to fight Hunt 7 years ago.

Francis does not come across as genuinely humble to me. Even back for his first title shot. He was acting like he was the champ before the fight even happened and even ditched training to go in vacation a few weeks from the fight. Both his coach at the time and Dana said it. He seems like he knows he may be more popular acting humble but that's probably about it. Alot of him and his stories come across as fake.

What's always funny with these kinds of "fan mood swings" is the sudden amnesia they all seem to get when the shoe was on the other foot. Remember Jones asking for "Deontay Wilder Money" in 2021? Anyone who lets themselves be duped by Dana is a mark.

Both his coach at the time and Dana said it.

The same coach Francis dumped to get better help with Eric Nicksick? Dana, who has never said an unbiased word against a fighter he didn't like? Are there any other accounts of this? I'd trust Anik before anyone of the aforementioned.

Never forget that Ali is the only manager to have testified in favor of the UFC in court, against his own clients effectively

Remind me again what case that was and what he testified to?

The simplest shit is the most effective propaganda regardless of how stupid it is. Because the MMA fanbase is pretty stupid honestly.

Remember Dana talking about offering millions and millions to Fedor? In the tiny, obscure island nation of Russia? Yeah that was idiotic too... didn't stop Sherdoggers from quoting it as if it was true.

Just more bullshit character assassination.

Its the UFC antitrust lawsuit. He testified against fighter purses being disclosed because he aas afraid of kidnappings lol

There were other things I read or saw mentioned...not just the $8 million. I know Francis was pushing for more than just a big payday from what I read and he even said. He wanted some sort of health insurance, more benefits and the ability to box.

They couldn't come to terms. I get it. At the end of the day, if he fights Fury, or even Wilder or Joshua, he will probably get a bigger payday than the supposed $8 million he turned down to fight Jones.
