Fighters You Feel Sorry For

Jose aldo

Went from mma elite to joe.

Soley known for the butt of conors harassment and ko.
Doesn't help the dude don't throw leg kicks like he used to or ever.

Guy called Jesse Ronson.

Never watched him fight, but he was 0-3 and cut.

He lost to Prazeres (had 8 fight win streak), Trinaldo (ranked fighter) and Fighter Kevin Lee.

All by split decisions!

• Was old by the time the money came around
• Lost to a guy who subsequently went on TUF
• Got depressed
• Became addicted to World of Warcraft
• Went from being the best in his weightclass(es) to not being able to win in school house shows vs cans
• Broke former champion/P4P top 5

-Inaugural UFC lightweight champ
-Fought 4 different weight classes and by doing so helped established UFC lightweight division
-defended the belt twice

And yet you never hear anyone ever mention Jens ever. The guy is a pioneer and a legend.

Dan Simmler from TUF

•Took the nastiest KO in TUF history, sound effects included:

• Had jaw wired shut
• Became septic. Lots of time in hospital
• 18 months out
• First reaching session back at his gym, a noob stands up into his jaw, rupturing the wire, causing another lengthy recovery
• No more steak/career

Ouchie

Not just that, but the fact that it happened at the hands of a guy who might have the worst striking skills I've ever seen in the UFC outside of WMMA and maybe a few low level HWs.

Tim Sylvia actually looks pretty happy these days, he has a successful roof riling business he manages, has a passion for hunting, a massive property in Iowa, a family and seems to have escaped life long injuries and head trauma.

Mark Coleman on the other hand, genuine concerns for that guys well being.

Garbrandt.jpg

I'm the biggest CoGar hater perhaps on Sherdog, but:

-Wins title only to lose it to a cheater
-twice
-gets Ko'd by another cheater
-Glass chin exposed / shattered
-over emotional nature exposed as well
-wife looks like the bimbo type that may crave attention and leave after career is over (may be soon)
-kid will likely grow to be manlet
Edit:
-neck tats
-chin and undefeated ammy career ended by cocky 10 sec KO flatline by no name

Yoshihiro Takayama

Went from doing this with Don Frye

To this with Don Frye because he is paralyzed from the neck down now.

Had some good wins. I remember him submitting Mario Sperry in 90's when BJJ was considered unbeatable.
He was slammed by Shamrock jr, shattered his collarbone and never fought again because of that.

A lot of good ones named already.

I kinda feel bad for Uriah Hall. The guy clearly has an amazing skillset but he seems to be mentally broken by someone or something that happened in his life. He looks to be lost and depressed in victory or defeat.

mighty mouse. p4p great, defends the title ten times and... gets cut.

He was traded for Askren and making big dollars in ONE where he is probably treated better, making just as much money and it's probably better for his overall career & legacy. He didn't make a mistake.
