Fighters You Feel Sorry For

Who was it who boasted he wouldn't get caught in the McKenzie-tine, then went out and immediately got caught?

Was it on TUF?
That was Josh Koscheck's boy Marc Stephens on TUF... One of the GOAT moments.

The only thing funnier than this was that Kos had no idea who Stephens was, even after he went over to him like "remember me, buddy?"... Dude was quite the entitled asshole.

Idk. I mean, I saw like one "celebrity website" that said they were single in 2020, but I've not seen the word "divorce" attached to any thing when I search. As far as April last year, I see he's still married to his longtime girlfriend, Seager Marie McCullah
Literally the first Google search of "Carlos Condit divorce" is a ufc article talking about his divorce and the 2nd result is a sherdog thread talking about his new girlfriend.........

I was trying to search her name. Nothing came up for that. And some "celeb wiki" I saw in 2019 still listed em as married.

Well then I guess, we feel sorry for him more

I was so pissed about that choice. Every "bring back a loser" season before that had Dana saying something like "Pick who had the most heart." In that season, the guy who deserved to come back was Dane Sayers. Instead, they go "Who is the best guy we can bring back?" and though Marc was probably the best guy on paper, I think knowing your opponent has only one thing, a guillotine, then putting your head into that guillotine in under 5 seconds disqualifies you from anything.

Yeah man, I remember it well... I don't think he was a very good fighter, Sayers, but Stevens was total shit... Sayers at least had heart - I think if he'd have got the fight and won, he might have been offered a semi decent camp to train at instead of in his reservation...

"Could have been" story.

Fedor, for having to live up to this "GOAT" reputation foisted upon him by overzealous marks and not being good enough to do so.

Kaz Sakuraba

he took too many beatings after he was Sakuraba
