International Elon Musk says he and Trump are shutting down USAID

Even with all I understand about how petty we can all be when it comes to politics, I'm finding myself a little surprised that we have people who are defending our tax money being wasted on this absolute bullshit. This is ridiculous, we should all be glad this is being exposed.

Not only that but our infrastructure, schools etc are in shambles and we're funding this shit?
Objectively, both Trump and Biden had their first 2 years to pass legislation, Trump passed tax cuts for the rich and Biden passed an infrastructure bill. If you had a secular group making the same type of audit how much theological spending do you think they'd find?

Yes, I do have ideas.

Places where USAID does work tend to be places where people are oppressed, dealing with poverty, in need, where democracy is opposed, and the like. So it’s not likely to hear from the President of France about work USAID is doing there, because USAID isn’t doing that work there. They’re working in Africa, Eastern Europe, certain places in the Middle East, etc.

But we’ve heard from the leaders who are happy about this, and that’s just as telling, I think.
—Child abusing Prime Minister of Hungary. Viktor Orban, who is killing democracy in his country, was quite glad to see them go.
—Dmitry Medvedev, a very close Putin ally who is deputy chairman of Russia's Security Council, was delighted.
—Another Putin ally, Alexander Dugin, felt similarly.
—Iran made a statement and was quite pleased.

The fact that democracy hating strongman dictator-wannabes are thrilled tells me a lot.

It's a phallacy that these greedy billionaires can't be bought or aren't looking to line their vaults with even more coin. Some people are philanthropists and some are just selfish and greedy and can never get enough. And as government officials those are the people that are going to decide if they look out for the needy and foster a strong middle class or are going to cut social programs and consumer protections so the wealthy pay less taxes and have fewer regulations to deal with.
oy, some credit for this one pls

Government transparency is a crucially positive thing via almost any means since trillions of dollars is at play, most of it taxpayer money at that.
To my mind, this is a situation where highly successful businessmen are taking a critical view of the business that is America.
Historically, all we seem to get in the White House are attorneys and job of a good lawyer is to delay, deflect and obfuscate.
Regardless of the enmity and delusional obstruction by Democrats the bloated, wasteful bureaucracy of the federal government needs to be addressed and corrected.
Sure, some folks with nebulous job titles might be fired but in the words of Sleep Joe “learn to code.”

Well I mean George Soros isn't putting non-government employees into Treasury systems and taking, apparently, everything they can get their hands on. Elon Musk isn't a government employee, let alone a member of Congress, and he is effectively pillaging and shutting off government agencies with complete impunity
I know, isn't it awesome 😎?
Hopefully he shuts down half the government or more.

Musk, the head of Trump’s government efficiency initiative, announced the shutdown in the middle of the night in an audio-only appearance on his social media site X.

“We’re shutting it down,” he said. At another point, he said “we’re in the process” of “shutting down USAID.”
Rogan had a guest on, Crazy Corruption.
