Are there still appeals left in this case or is it a done deal?

That's two witnesses. That's literally all it took for Carroll.

I wonder if someone like @PainIsLIfe would argue that if one person accuses Barack Obama of rape sometime in 1994 and has two friends say she told them it happened, Obama would actually see the inside of a courtroom.

I'm not calling him out, im specificslly using him because he isn't an insane zealot. He's still rational and presents the logic of his position. But wtf? Nobody thinks Obama or any other ex president would see a courtroom for this much evidence.

I guess you just can’t flatly call Trump a rapist because it’s bullshit. You need to add the “adjudicated” or “found liable in civil court” before. Doesn’t quite have the the same punch huh? Which is why Slopadopolous just called him a rapist and now has to grovel at Trump’s kneecaps like the dog he is.

Now they bend the knee.

Also, that hag will never see a dime.

I'm with you until you went with the "judge wouldn't let him have a defense".

The judge allowed hearsay as "evidence."

Her evidence was that she told her friends about the alleged encounter. Those friends testified that she told them the alleged sexual assault story.

Hearsay is normally never admissible in any court of law. It's basically useless.

And Trump could have taken the stand and said she either made it up or was mistaken about who assaulted her, but he chose to play golf instead.

That doesn't mean he's guilty. There's this small thing called (actual) evidence and innocent until proven guilty.

Seems like people completely ignore those fundamental values based on who the person is and if they like them or not.

Civil trial has no presumption of innocence. Trump could have made it 'she said, he said', but chose to let it be just she said.

I'm pretty confident he's going to win the appeal because all this hearsay was allowed. That is normally never even allowed to be uttered - even in civil trials.

It goes way beyond the hearsay. She actually didn't provide any evidence outside of hearsay and "she said".

In fact, the judge refused to allow the dress into the trial that she claimed she wore. She also retracted the day, month, and even year she claimed it happened and then later couldn't tell anyone the year at all. She got the scenario from an episode of Law and Order and claims to have been raped 7 times in her life, but never filed a police report. She also thinks rape is "sexy" and named her cat "Vagina". This case is a joke and she's a nutter.

I'm pretty sure he isnt:

Sauer argued that testimony from Leeds about the alleged airplane encounter should have been excluded because, at the time, there was no federal law against sexual assault on an airplane. Kaplan, however, countered that there was a law in place at the time that prohibited “simple assault.”

This is Trump's brilliant lawyers. Not saying hey, heresy and lies. Nope, they argue that 1 of the witnesses shouldn't be able to testify because there wasnt a law on the books that said you can't sexually assault someone on a plane. Lol

Do you have any links to this stuff you keep saying? Her original filing says it happened in the late '95 or spring '96.
