Takedowns are one metric, but why focus on that? It doesn't in any way undermine my point: when Khamzat couldn't utterly dominate the fight with his wrestling and was forced to strike, go deeper into a fight, he had a tough night at the office.

True but he had an injury, a broken wrist or something. Usman had even less, maybe it was because short notice or whatever. Usman has great takedown defense and Khamzat bulldozed him before the injury.
