This is a weird situation.

- The dumbest voices are driving the bus.

- Any rational (wait for all the facts/only Tom knows how damaged his eye/vision is ) type of perspective is going to be overpowered by the shouting tards.


So what's left by default is a narrative that the victim of an illegal and arguably cheap tactic is being blamed for not allowing the perpetrator of the cheap shot to gain an advantage using an unpunished foul.


I think Tom trained for a fair fight, got a tough night at the office capped off with being booed for someone else's foul.

He may be a "front runner" or he may be capable of battling thru adversity and "digging deep" ... I'll wait to see how he handles a challenge that comes within the course of a fair fight.

Risking his legacy, title and career financial trajectory by fighting a dangerous striker with inpaired vision would be a very stupid choice. Tom made the wise but unpopular choice. Tards can't see past their own temper tantrum of not getting a thing they wanted, so they are not capable of grasping that.

The reality is that it is nearly guaranteed that they will run it back in a rematch.
May the best man win, hopefully in decisive and devastating fashion and ideally in a fair fight without controversy.

Yeah I can see that. Tom's biggest issue is his dad, his dad is living vicariously through his sons life, he reminds me of John Fury... he isn't as aggressive and obvious as John Fury, Tom's dad is more subtle.. but its the same thing. He never stops talking, constant interviews, walking around with the belt around his waist and shoulder, always making sure he is in shot of the camera. Tom needs to get a proper coach.

Ilia, Islam , DP Jiri, Alex , Izzy, Khamzat and a few other high level championship level fights and contenders arw still like that, it's just that fighters are also open about the financial aspect as opposed to the past.

I personally believe fighters aren't paid as well due to the roster size being so large.

There are some driven people willing to risk their health just for the sense of accomplishment, like in extreme runninng etc. And I think MMA attracted this type of personality at first.

But over time the UFC made it pretty clear that it's just a business and fighters will be thrown under the bus the moment they're not winning or useful to the company anymore. There's also a lot of info now about what happens when they fight "to the death" and that basically nobody- fans included- cares
after fighters exit that short prime.
