Did some of you get eye poked too? A first-hand experience and view (wink, wink)

Been eye poked a few times . After about 5 min you can see okay but it burns . In a fight with the adrenaline going not sure you would feel that burn much till after fight. Just my experience im sure in a fight its worse

If you were seeing OK (well, able to open your eye) after a few minutes, fortunately there was no damage. Good for you: you're not missing anything.
So, if you went to a doctor, you wouldn't end up with a bandage covering your eye.

Yes, I got eye pocked and kicked in the groin, as well. It didn't stop me, but I guess, they were not severe enough, however it doesn't mean that they can't be.
It definitely gives the one doing the poking an edge. The question is to what degree.

I've had my vision compromised, I can't imagine fighting that way if I didn't have to. I always think it's admirable when fighters continue after fouls and whatnot, but I also don't think it's necessarily very smart. The ending was disappointing, after waiting all of this time for HW to finally move forward, but it is what it is.

a few years ago, while riding a bicycle, i got a pebble in the eye

my eye looked perfect, except for a big scratch on the external side = corneal abrasions

the nerve pain was going on all day
i could not have a full night of sleep for 3 weeks

----------------------- A friend of mine story
my buddy had a fight in a Bar with a nasty guy, who put fingers in his eyes during the fight
my friend managed to KO the guy while mounting him

but he was blind for the next 30min, and for the next hours it was blurry
he needed a couple days to have his sight restored

Just pepper spray both fighters and let em swang n bang!

Taze the victor since he can’t see to obey ref’s commands

I took an ant to the eye once. I was with a group of friends under a weird, short tree with a fully concealing canopy which reaches to the ground.

I looked up, and the ant divebombed me.

I panicked, ran home crying and told Mum, believing that the ant would eat into my eyeball and blind me.

She found the eyewash and I felt fine afterwards, but the emotional trauma affected me for the rest of the day.
