Do you think Tom is a mentally weak person?

I don’t think he’s mentally weak, but you have to put this into perspective he’s never been tested, which shows he’s a good fighter with quick finishing skills but without being tested we don’t know if he’s a front runner like many fighters who has finished opppnents quickly in the past but fizzled out when it’s getting tough. This bout with Gane from what we seen was trending towards seeing what Aspinall has in the later rounds. Some fighters think they’re mentally strong but ends up folding when it gets tough ie Belfort, Penns, Mcgregors(to a degree but I think it’s his cardio that fails him).Other fighters like Bisping, Lawlers, Holloways are really mentally strong and has shown it, and then you got fighters who says they’re but needed confirmation like Jones and Adesanyas. Aspinall is still a question mark imo.

He likes to be hammer, dreads becoming the nail.

A Lion when on the attack, a pussycat when on the defense.

He's Overeem, not Miocic.

So yeah, I'm gonna compare him to his peers instead of questioning his heart in general.

Literally what proof is there that Tom is tough?

He's the hammer, not the nail or the anvil. His entire spiel is no one can survive his power, not he'll find a way to win.
He’s tougher than you, and 99% of people that ever lived. Just stepping into an octagon already puts you there.

Exactly. People are acting like just because you're a fighter, or have been handed a belt like Tom, that you must be tough. As though there hasn't been many clear examples of toughness ABOVE this.

Toughness is earned, not given.

You tell 'em, tough guy! You muscling through that cramp to finish that half gallon of ice cream shows the kind of grit and desire you possess. Nothing was gonna stop you from destroying that Rocky Road, nothing!!!

No but he's a new gen fighter who treats martial arts like a sport. Health and career come first. Get used to it, most of them are like that.

I could step into the octagon and quit to at the first sign of adversity.

Real tough. Better send Daddy Eyespinall out to make another documentary

What did he do to become heavyweight champion?

Be specific about what proved his toughness.
He fist fought big, strong, powerful, tough men. And mostly prevailed.

I doubt you’ve ever been punched as an adult.

Yeah I think he is weak. These rules are fucked up, but it's UFC. Fuck Dana idiot. Fix this shit before it's too late.

It’s okay that Tom is just the hammer. Plenty of fighters are. You’ll get through it

Bitch, you probably can't step outside your house without quitting due to fatigue.🤣

Not even a little bit… but it’s like asking the highest-ranked members of Mensa who’s the dumbest. It’s all relative.

Compared to you or me, the toughest motherfucker we’ve ever met… To professional badasses… maybe kind of a pussy, but he’s also paid to be not kind of a pussy.

Not neccessarrily weak minded maybe he wanted perfect form in order to compete or he's not confident. But in all fairness, until we felt what he felt, its hard to blame him for the eye thing.

Why did you include HW champ as reason to not doubt his mental fortitude?

Tom was quite literally handed the belt without ever winning it, and then in his first ever title defence he screamed for a NC in a fight he was losing. Which you even admit he quit over. Where is the "HW champion mentality" that you brough up?

There's quite literally nothing to suggest Tom is mentally strong. Dude doesn't even win the chicken wing eating contests on his own YouTube channel.
I mean Tom literally fought Sergei on short notice while having a screwed up back and knocked him out. He is definitely tough as nails.

I agree with you however that him calling it a quits was pathetic.

He beat up a bunch of dudes that were really strong lmao. If he's mentally weak, then that makes you a fucking potato.
