Do you think Aspinall will take down Gane instantly?

I wouldn't say ridiculous. More unlikely than the way he's been doing it to everyone else? Sure. The thing is, I see people keep saying "Aspinall hasn't fought anyone with Gane's movement and technical ability". Okay...but neither has Gane fought anyone even close to Aspinall's combination of speed and power. Because there just isn't anyone else like him. So thinking it's ridiculous that Gane gets hurt in an early exchange makes little sense.
I say ridiculous because it's highly unlikely. Could it happen? MAYBE, but I wouldn't bet money on it because I don't see either of them taking the same approach with this fight as previous ones. As you said this is the first time they've fought someone who has mobility and speed comparable to their own so I fully expect us to see a lot of feeling out and caution in the first 5 minutes which is why I believe talk of Tom finding Games chin early is a very bold statement.

Ehh, like I said it's less likely than with previous opponents but it wouldn't be shocking or anything.

Could be Tom finding Gane's chin, could be Gane finding Tom's chin, could be a decision, could be Gane getting subbed in the first. Either way, honestly I think this is going to be one of those fights that doesn't go the way many think it will. I just have a feeling.

I'd be far more shocked if Gane KO'd Tom, as I'd assume most who know this sport would be. Given the history of each and the odds...kinda speaks for itself. Doesn't mean it can't happen, just far far more likely that Aspinall KO's Gane than vice versa.

I have no idea, it really depends how much Gane has improved his wrestling / TDD.

I've been driving the Aspinall war wagon since before it was cool, but there's nothing to suggest that he is a good wrestler.

This is a very dangerous fight for Aspinall. He has a terrible habit of keeping his chin in the air, and he attacks in straight lines. He's begging to be clipped, and Gane is the much more technical striker.

If Aspinall fully secures top position, there's a chance he finishes Gane in short order. But the takedown might be more difficult than people think.
I’ve been on the Aspinall wagon since before it was cool too (openly stated he would likely beat Pav easy and was confused by the pre fight narrative on here).

I disagree with nearly every main point you make.

At HW he certainly looks like a decent wrestler.
The fight doesn’t really seem that dangerous - all Gane has is nice technical looking albeit not powerful. Tom is probably at least level on striking terms and better everywhere else.
He does attack in straight lines, but very quickly for a HW. Perhaps the only HW who matches Gane for speed and athleticism
Gane is not the much more technical. More? Perhaps. Much more - laughably incorrect
There isn’t much evidence Gane is hard to take down. You can’t on the one hand say there is limited evidence Tom is a good wrestler yet pretend Gane hasn’t been exposed for being takedown quite easily by Jon and Francis to the point it was embarrassing in fact.

I never said he couldn't potentially find Gane's chin. I said that Gane's chin is not easy to find and saying Tom finds Gane's chin within 2 minutes is an absolutely ridiculous claim.
Ruling it out as 100% impossible is ridiculous

Let’s not pretend world class fighters haven’t been ko’d in the first few minutes of a bout

When he realises that a basic women's boxing day one class 1-2 doesn't work on a world class striker and that he doesn't enjoy getting hit he will absolutely dive for ankles. Hopefullt he eats a knee on the way down and gets pounded out
You should go see a therapist about your inferiority complex to the Brits

The immense pressure this puts on Tom cannot be understated. Tom really does have a lot on the line here besides a title.
Really not

By the same logic every single fighter who stopped Anthony Smith is better than Jon

I never ruled it out as 100% impossible. Re-read my post.

You don’t understand what the word ridiculous means or how to use it appropriately in a sentence then.

Perhaps English isn’t your first language.

Aspinall can KO Gane, just like how any HW can KO the other cuz of big man weight and physics. I don't know if his boxing/striking technique is good enough to either a) out-tech or b) overwhelm Gane to get the KO. Gane is probably the best striker Aspinall has faced in a real fist-fight. Aspinall has quick hands and can beat a Blaydes, Pavlovich. He needed wrestling to beat a Volkov.

One factor I see playing in this fight: Tom has a lot of pressure in this fight even though this is Gane's third and probably last crack at undisputed gold. Tom has to beat Gane faster or more one-sided than Jones did or else he'll start his reign under a lot of scrutiny and comparison to Jones. You can tell that the Jones drama really affects him.

I don't see what's so unlikely about it. He's done it to everyone he's fought lol. Unless Gane is running for his life (a likely gameplan tbh). If they get into a firefight Tom is touching his chin IMO. And when Tom touches chins people crumble.

This is a goofball narrative. What has Tom shown that "Jones drama really affects him" lol
