Diego Lopes absolutely worked Jean Silva - Looked worst than it actually was.

Lopes looked fairly bad, getting rocked multiple times. Jean only has himself to blame being disrespectful of him and recklessly going into a spinning elbow.

He got tagged almost every time he came forward. Silva didnt ever look defeated, he was hitting him with whatever he wanted, and havin a good time doing it.

Sounds like coping to me.

Silva did land a lot, but had little effect. Some good shots and Diego barely showed it. First round Diego almost finishes him from mount and handles Silva in grappling like it wasn’t much.

I thought that would be enough for Jean not to act cocky and overzealous (what you call ’having a good time”) but instead he kept acting like he was dominating and doing what he wanted? Then he got finished, this time it was official.

Silva made an ass of himself trying to punch Lopes after the fight, too. Eat some humble pie and back to the drawing board.

A guy can't be a little different that people starts whining "where's the humility?" "why are the fighters saying mean things instead of blowing each other in 69?".

Jean touched gloves right before the fight, against Bryce he was cool too and Bryce acting like he's possessed and the earth is flat.

mf cries and say he's grateful in all interviews, I can tell he is humble, just weirdo.

He's huge and he's got the dog in him. He's also very well-rounded and improving each time out. The guy is must-watch TV.

Silva actually looked really good in rd 2 but really needs to stay calm and focused during fights. He nearly lost in rd 1 from a silly spinning kick and pretty much jumped into that spinning elbow.

To me it looked like Silva was clearly better but clearly stupid! He basically took himself down twice in bad positions being reckless/careless. He got kod rushing in reckless head first. Silva was piecing him up on feet but Lopez took it well but still was taking alot of shots. Still imo if Silva doesnt fight like a moron I think he wins 9 of 10 his arrogance killed him.

If he learns from this Silva better for it as I think he could be tbe best at FW if heads on straight- but dude is nuts

Silva didnt lose this fight because of pressure, he lost because when HE was pressuring, he got caught.

I think its also worth adding to this, Silva didn't lose just because of his heavy pressure, he was spamming spinning elbows on the #2 guy in the division.

The amount of showboating he did against the most elite opponent he's ever faced was horrific fight IQ.

Diego is awesome and good everywhere, he's obviously full of shit saying "the punches didn't hurt" he got Silva face kicked in the first 30 seconds and tagged easily 10 more times with heavy shots. His chin is great and so is his fight IQ because he's already fought the best in the world.

Learning lesson for Silva and wherever he is today he certainly regrets fighting Diego with zero respect. He'll learn from this IMO

How do you say he's clueless when he escaped an absolutely horrific position when both guys were dry and fresh? His grappling and counter grappling are great.

What you meant to say is Diego is one of the best MMA adapted grapplers in the world. Look how competitive his fight with Mosavar was on zero notice, coming off the regional circuit. Virtually no one in the world at 145lbs could have done that.

Its strange to me how many people are saying Silva sucks instead of giving Diego his flowers. Dude is absolutely elite and now he has the experience to match his gifts.

Think Diego's plan was evident. Make Jean wilt from the pressure, and break him down until finish. Fight was great because Jean is a little to crazy to get discouraged. Great fight by Diego after some ice, and a good nights sleep you wouldn't even know he was in that scrap.
