Ironic considering his skill set is very 2005ish. A generic boxer/wrestler who doesn’t wrestle because he has subpar jiu jitsu.

It’s kinda his own fault he didn’t turn pro until he was 26 and then immediately takes two years off after his first fight.

Emmett is a very limited fighter, but he is tough as fuck and hits like a truck. That fight was fun. Emmett was landing every leg kick he threw and he should have went back to it but it didn't look like he was very experienced/comfortable with kicking

Hes like 42 and been thru hell, im amazes hes still holding up. Other than some muay thai coach, im not sure what areas he can improve significantly at this point. I want him as champ

This fight really highlighted to me how special Illa topuria is. he's a 26 year old FW who just scored a 50-42 score card against a legit top 5 guy like emmet. I knew at this point he'd be a champion sometime soon. emmet has the power to end anything and illa did give him the kind of fight he needs to do it.

Emmet was 38, though. Pretty much everyone Ilia has beaten has either been older/somewhat washed or not really a skilled striker. Too bad there hasn't been a prime, 26-year old Aldo in a long time.
