What did I say!!!!!!!! Where are all these JEAN bandwagoners

Jean needs to find a happy medium.

While he can't (and shouldn't) deny who he is, he would do well to rely more on his skills and dial back the emotions and recklessness a bit. He was *decisively* winning the standup and could certainly have won that fight if he just fought a little bit smarter.

Silva was doing good landing his punches but he got too horny and was caught by spinning shit. I think a more patient Silva would have a better chance at winning in a rematch granted what happened to him in the first round doesn't repeat itself again.

Yeah I agree, but also his thing is his unpredictability. If he goes too traditional then I think it'll really put him at a disadvantage.

Honestly previous fights he had more control, noticed with Mitchell he was anticipating the takedown and it kept him busy from getting too crazy.

It was his first time headlining a card and Lopes is no slouch. He looked like his gameplan was to bang it out with Lopes in a brawl but never expected the takedown. Lopes is a bitch to get off with full mount like that, so I'll kind of hold back judgement for his grappling defense.

Seems like the whole fighting nerd team need a summer session of reading grappling defense.

There was no way he was going to knock out Lopes bro. He ate everything Jean had in his arsenal and it was only down hill for Jean from there on. People don´t realize the kind of chin Lopes has. Not even a baseballbat will take that guy out.
He took a picture perfect punch that put him out on his feet for a millisecond, but he recovered instantly. Maybe if Jean landed an elbow in the later rounds or something he could still pull it off.

No, don't you bring any logic to this thread now. Here it's all about acting like Silva's striking was prosaic and nothing to care for.

He landed a one two that clearly buckled Lopes, but Lopes was able to be evasive enough after that, where if he got hit, he would manage to avoid the next one coming. I dont think one punch can put Lopes down, but those combinations will get anyone eventually.

If Lopes didn’t have an iron chin it could of been a different story
Great fight
People acting like Silva is a bum or flash in the pan are crazy
His stock didn’t drop at all

Hope to see a rematch one day

I even said Lopes by Finish either early or late...

Jean Silva have never meet competition at the level of Diego Lopes and it was a joke that he was favourite. Jean Silva beat an old Dober and Mitchell and never faced the leve of compettion Lopes has been competing with. This was a too early jump for him

I picked Diego, but there was a point in the second round where i was doubting him as he was getting tagged too much.

That and it was an early stoppage <{JustBleed}>

I mean, he got destroyed in rd 1 lol. He could’ve won that fight but he also showed serious deficiencies in his ground game, just like his buddy Ruffy.

Again context. He threw a spinning back kick got out of position and got put in a mount by a vicious GnP and grappler in Lopes and survived.

You know Lopes is a elite grappler right? He came back and absolutely dominated the 2nd round until he got caught by that elbow.

I can’t imagine being such a low life that you try to gain some sort of validation or ego from making a 50:50 call on some sport event that has nothing to do with you and you try to make it somehow about yourself.

Like it actually makes me feel sorry for you.

Good call by the way, but you need more going on for you.
