No, it was always going to be MVP hurts him and finishes him on the feet, or Garry turns into a wrestler. People are way too excited about Garry having a good 30 seconds in the 5th and pretend he's some grappling phenom now. He's a competent grappler, better than MVP, but he still only has 1 career submission in the minor leagues. He just got Shavkat's back late in the fight when Shavkat got reckless on an entry trying too hard to get Ian's back and gave up his own, but Ian only had the position for like 30 seconds, didn't get the choke and got reversed. Still a good moment, but it was 30 seconds and the rest of the fight was all defensive grappling that was clearly the main focus of his camp.
