It is a waste of time. He doesn't deserve a TS or a #1 contender fight at this point. He's far away from a title now. Good luck trying to line up two fights in a row for this guy.

Come on now. He's got a lot to prove, but calling him the next Sage is just silly. Even if he turns out to be way overrated, he ain't getting beaten down by Mickey Gall or Bryan Barberena. Northcutt was the most ridiculous hype train in the history of the sport.

I do feel there is some comparison though, obviously Chimaev is much, much better, but it's kind of a case of the UFC backing the wrong horse, and going all in on the hypetrain, for guys who never won a title or even came close to winning a title.

To my amazement though, they kind of got it right with O'Malley. I feel that was somewhat luck though, the guy improved a lot and turned out to be much better than expected.

Khamzat is still the ultimate challenge in this business. If he is healthy and has a full camp he could beat any top 10 MW including Izzy and DDP.

That's a big if, plus we've seen with our own eyes twice that he's not the unstoppable beast that he claims to be. He has poor cardio and tires considerably after the first round. He may be the best 1 round fighter in the UFC, but after that he's pretty average.

Laugh all you want. Dricus is a hypocrite. Their level of activity has been the same. Here are some facts:

Dricus: has 7 UFC fights in 4 years. Got a title shot. Controversially split-decisioned (had his ass handed to him) a champion with 1 title defence loss.
1 split decision.
1sumission loss.
1 KO loss.

Khamzat: also 7 UFC fights in 4 years. Didn't get title shot. Beat former champion with 5 title defense wins.
No split decisions.
No losses.

To be fair to DDP, he has fought much tougher competition than Khamzat but it's crazy that he has the same activity as a guy battling debilitating health issues.

Hope Khamzat gets healthy and he and DDP meet in the cage. I feel like there would be some real bad blood in the lead up.
