Media TJ Dillashaw changes his mind on DDP beating Chim: I've now introduced him to this guy

Curious on y’all’s opinion someone like TJ in todays day and age…does he ever have to work again? Did he make enough if he was wise? I just don’t see him doing a regular job? Btw I know he’s young and not rolling in tens of millions but like did he make 2-3? Quick enough to put away live within his means and call it a day? Not even close ?

Thoughts ?
I think he still sells supplements and does some kind of work in his own business.

So TJ Dillashaw introduced Khamzat to his EPO hookup?

What I hear is that Khamzat is gonna have EPO cardio now.
Like Merab, he can go from a fighter with sucky cardio in early fights to someone who might beat prime Nick Diaz in a triathlon. EPOgenetics is some amazing science!

Bingo, and his opponent has to somewhat match the pace to keep his head above the water.

Can't just chill and wait for him to gas out like many people seem to think.
Somewhat match his pace, sure, but if someone has the technique to survive his initial onslaught Khamzat will be the one who expended more energy

It doesn’t work like “Khamzat gassed himself out chasing the finish but it cancels out because his opponent gassed themselves out surviving”

It will be like the Usman fight where Usman survives, Khamzat’s shots become slower, Khamzat can’t take him down anymore, now Khamzat is losing on the feet because he’s gassed and Usman is less gassed because all he had to do was weather the storm

I thought they stopped testing
There is testing. You can look up the results. I suspect they don't test overseas though.

When we start getting really jacked American HWs is when they totally give up on testing.

No one commenting on his extreme hair restoration? I guess it's so common these days it doesn't even phase us anymore, even though TJ's doesn't even look natural at all. TJ had to keep up with the Joneses when he saw Cogar turn into a movie star with his new hair.

Ya gotta really shit the bed to not beat the tests from what I understand generally. Past or present.

What are ya gonna do? Ya can’t stop tech. It’s a part of all sport one way or another.

Often we see it work against people when they exceed the basic playing field leveling

Low key Dillashaw turned into a mini Dan Hooker lol

I guess it depends on how the wrestling/grappling exchanges go, how much resistance Dricus shows to the initial shot, how good his technique is when he's trying to get back up to his feet.

If we look at Khamzat vs Whittaker, Whittaker was on bottom carrying his weight for a big part of the first round, and Khamzat seemed to spend less energy than in the first round vs Usman since the takedown was easier to secure.

My prediction if it goes to the later rounds is that both of them will be tired, but both of them will still be dangerous in sequences.

It will likely be competitive, just as Khamzat vs Burns or Usman, Dricus vs Izzy or Strickland.

It's easy to forget that Dricus has also lost rounds past round 1.

At worst he can coach for a living. I'm sure between fight purses, investments, local and low level sponsorships and podcasts that he'll make more than enough money to live comfortably while his money works for him silently. He's more than okay. He'll never have a regular job again.

How the grappling exchanges go will determine the cardio battle for sure, but I think it’s fair to assume the aggressor generally expends more energy than the defender at this level, and almost definitely in this fight

I get what you’re saying with Whittaker, I don’t think Khamzat had to expend as much energy as he did against Usman, but I don’t think you can really read that much into it since Khamzat got the finish, we didn’t see how his cardio would’ve held up or how much energy he actually expended compared to Robert

What we have seen is the two people who have survived had more energy in the latter rounds than Khamzat did

That being said, I have never seen Khamzat fall apart, he still fights well when he’s gassed, and does have pretty damn good cardio so it’ll be a fight even if he doesn’t get the finish

But I think it’s pretty safe to say the fight favors DDP more and more every round that passes

It’s pretty rare a fight happens that I’m this interested in, and on top of it I’ll be legitimately happy to see either guy win, both of them are so strong right now that a loss won’t hurt their stock too much

I’d probably pick DDP just because in high level fights generally speaking the guy who requires a finish to win, loses, but I think it’s a 50/50 fight, can’t wait for it

Jesus Christ I never saw a picture of him where he’s that big

He’s a smart dude so I’d take his word for it I guess, but I don’t really buy his approach of “get on test and gain as much muscle as possible” to help him deal with his shoulder lol
