Dana White throwing shade at everyone when Reporter brings up Francis PFL Deal

It was. But it didn't destroy MacGregor and I don't think it would have ruined Ngannou.

I sort of wish he left on good terms with the idea of coming back to the UFC after trying boxing.

Now I'll be thinking this of every UFC HW champ: but can be beat Ngannou?
Just like when we watch a champ in Bellator and immediately compare them to the comparable UFC champ. RECENTLY, outside of that run for Kyla Harrison (I know, 155...), what champion outside the UFC did we really think was as good as the UFC champion? (other than Nemkov and possibly Mighty Mouse).

Maybe didn't destroy Conor but from the UFC point of view it kind of did. He fought floyd six years ago, he's only had four fights in the UFC in those six years since going 1-3 with his only win being over Cowboy. Boxing floyd worked out great for Conor but not so much for the UFC. Their biggest star hardly ever fights because he really doesn't need to

I have a feeling that Dana will try to hold on some great fights to put them on a card at the same night Franics will fight for his debut with PFL. He's probably even gonna offer those guys more money to fight on that date if they don't sign the contract at first lol.

Anyone else pretty sure the UFC will try to steal the show of Francis debut with PFL?

I just don't get the impression PFL is going to be able to keep that kind of thing up long enough to be a long term strategic threat. Let them have their Affliction moment with a guy who probably has a couple of years of fighting left in him (half of which will be devoted to another sport) stay the course and bury them over time. I could be wrong but that would be my thoughts on how they will handle it

No doubt
Dana White is a diabolical monster with zero remorse. A truly vicious, cold-blooded man without an ounce of dignity or remorse. Screwing Francis over isn't even close to being one of the most heinous acts he is capable of

The full statement with him trashing PFL for being bad at business is hilarious considering how Power Slap and all of his other recent side ventures have gone.

At least PFL is trying to do something in the sport they entered into.
Dana has a diamond in his hand, but he's willing to drop it to pick up a piece of shit like slap happy or whatever that dung is called lol.

Not an amazing card, but a rushed together apex card? Sure

History would support your theory. I hope you’re wrong though. For the fighters sake.

I'm torn, it's good for the fighters but having 2 leagues with legitimate claim to being top dog results in fractured rosters and great fights that never happen. I'm not a believer in the long term prospects of PFL paying people that can't generate buys millions of dollars but.. good luck to any of he's guys fighting for a living

Baldfather is pissed that Francis actually got an insane deal like that done. One where he gets paid to sit out the first year on top of it.

Good for him.

If the sport is now primarily about money, how could anyone hate on the guy for getting his. These fucking promoters are all about that greed life and cant stand to see a fighter leave to gain financial freedom.

Francis thought he was worth way more then the UFC was offering him. He took a chance and gambled on himself. He won.

Now if PFL for whatever reason goes belly up, itll be a bad look, but for now he has everything to celebrate about. Danas pissed cause he knows this will get other fighters talking as well. The domino effect.

Great points.
He wasn't the same fighter but he was still a draw

I find it hard to believe he gets paid when he doesn't fight .. ..

TLDR: Dana spending several minutes doing mental gymnastics, to explain why he failed to resign the undisputed #1 HW in MMA.

Will be crazy if PFL goes bust as there's no way they'll recoup.

Time for them to phone Daddy Daniel Kinehan
