What does Dana's ego have to do with signing a fighter that's already under contract with another organization?

You suggesting they should buy him out, or make a trade, or some shit like that? Why would they spend extra to bring back a guy that left on his own choice when they could just wait the contract out?

I love Francis but I'm not even sure what his market currently is. He's got 1 win in PFL and two boxing losses, and he's 3-4 years older now. That still make him the world's best HW? Idk..

Even if Francis wasnt always the biggest draw -i think they could really sell if they market it just right. Showcasing the "Return of the beast Ngannou !!" showcasing all of his stunning hard shots as well as some of his boxing (Fury fight exclusively) against "the Man who made Jon Jones retire" -kinda thing.

The buzz would be enough to spillover from the diehards to the casual base. Anything else just feels like dud from the start. Bad times for the HW division.

so he has zero leverage, is probably still a pain in the ass to work with, and will come in wanting more guaranteed money than what Dana will what to give to a guy he doesn't like.
