Rumored Dana: "Jon Jones WILL Return THIS Summer"

More like he's praying to heavens above that Alex wins so that he could duck Tom Aspinall and fight Pereira instead.

Imagine actually thinking someone would “duck” someone else to instead fight Poatan and sharing those thoughts publicly 😂

Imagine actually thinking otherwise to a point where they would reply to it with 😂 lmao

I mean thinking to the contrary is retarded enough, but this is another level haha

Jon has created an entire alternate reality in his brain.

Aspinall is one of the nicest consistently respectful dudes in the game.

Meanwhile Jon thinks of himself as a good Christian boy but cheats at every opportunity, gets arrested repeatedly, hits his wife, multiple instances being a complete asshole to police.

man is a train wreck.

Tom by contrast though totally didn't cherrypick 1 fight win streak Blaydes for truck loads of money in his home town to avenge a loss eh
No he actually didn't. he said yes to Ciryl Gane on 2 occasions leading up to it but Gane refused, so thus he was matched with Blaydes instead.

Amazing when you actually take the time to understand things instead of just dickriding your favourite fighter and ignoring facts.

It's amazing that you actually just agreed with me that Tom was willing to fight so long as it was on the card in his home town for truck loads of money.

Thanks.

Dana already said no, it's going to be Tom or nothing. Not that he wouldn't go back on his word but he did say that definitively and I think there would be hell to pay if he let Jon fight Alex next for the belt. He also said Alex can't go up without dropping the 205 belt which is also a disincentive because he probably gets choked out or suffers a painful submission with nothing to show for it besides a little extra money.

Until Jon gets injured in camp and it's fall 2025 all of a sudden.
Here's what will happen mark my words. Jon will finally accept the fight with Aspinall for next fall or winter. 3 weeks before the fight he pulls out with a 'devastating injury'. Tom is forced to fight someone else twice before he can return and he prays heavily that he will lose. If that indeed happens, Jon will get better ahead of schedule and call out an easy matchup for his return saying Tom was a chump all along.

Let's hope so...

Dana isn't the most trustworthy human being out there tho...

The guy got money but integrity he does not.

If Tom is told to defend his interim belt again, he should just leave the UFC, it's essentially a humiliation ritual they are making him go through at that point.

Of course his UFC contract will not actually allow him to pursue a livelihood fighting anywhere else...

if Jones wants to give up HW title fight Alex thats fine but its pretty shitty to make Tom wait like this only to not fight him or give up belt to fight someone else.

This shit should have been decided before end of last year. Either you're gonna do it or you're not and let Tom move on to fight Gane, Jaitlon etc.

Can't really say that, have a look at his resume

He had years off from PEDS suspensions and tested positive for 3 separate PEDS.

Left the 205lbs division after controversial back to back decisions.

Refused to fight a contender at heavyweight definitely weighs on his legacy, the had to get a retired guy coming off a KO loss. If the UFC was a sport not a circus, it wouldn't even be possible.
