News *** Conor McGregor Found Civilly Liable for 2018 Sexual Assault MEGA THREAD ***

There is no light at the end of the tunnel for Conor here. Ireland has heard all sides of the story and turned on him violently, the people, his former sponsers and the government.

He has zero chance of winning an appeal and this case is probably just the tip of the iceberg for his legal troubles to come.

I feel as though the attack on the victim's house probably put the appeal to bed.
This is the only time he's really been held accountable for his actions and his vulgar behaviour has not been accepted or swept under the rug.

Wondering, has "local" social media in your language (not in English) picked up on this story?

I stumbled upon on this video, this girl seems to talk gossip on her channel, basically went out of her regular content to speak about Conor Mcgregor and his eternal fiance, mentioned the history of accusations and events Mcgregor has been part of, since the bus or the old man incident.

Has this happened in your language? Non MMA/sports covering the story.

Yep and he didn't have sex with Nikita. It's not possible for his DNA to not be there.
Wouldnt wearing a condom make DNA less likely to be present?

Im kinda late to the party and only recently checked out the details. Im almost certain the most informative vids were from @Hellowhosthat, but maybe it was someone else. But anyway, whoever posted them, thanks.

Ultimately, any rape charge is incredibly difficult to deal with from a legal perspective. But this is not a good look for Conor and his cronies at all. In a weird way, I think civil liability is sort of the more practical outcome given the circumstances, just purely from the perspective of the evidence and what it means. There's some he said/she said, and one of the biggest problems in these cases is once once you have a plaintiff has any sort of memories issues, especially for reasons that include drugs and alcohol, everything just becomes clear as mud. But given the extent of the apparent injuries it would seem very obvious that something happened, and Conor would be the most likely culprit.

Weirdly, I think theres just barely enough here for reasonable doubt in a criminal trial, but enough to meet the criteria for civil liability. So, just from a perspective of the evidence and what it means, this is the "just" outcome. But if he did do it then obviously this is nowhere near justice, but we have to go with what we have.

Anyone know when they'll decide the punishment for his tweets? last Thursday the Judge said they'd do that some otherday.

My guess is he'll have to pay a stupid fine.

He has a history of this kind of behavior am I supposed to believe he's innocent?!! I'm not giving him the benefit of the doubt

once the vid is out and more evidence gets release he will go back and clear his name

I dont think just one big megathread is enough for this "bad boy"

You're not gonna convince a lot of people like him using words like simulacram. A lot of Sherdoggers have a syllable limit for their understanding

Genuinely smart people convey difficult ideas in simple terms to be understood by anyone.

Met a few bellends in my life who used a niche, verbose and overly complicated vocabulary to try and give an air or intelligence. But were nowhere near as smart as they thought. Nor as smart as those people who broke things down into simple terms
