Who wins?

poll says it all. a couple of hater trolls voting the other way but verging on unanimous.

absolutely no way gane keeps that fight standing, and no chance to win as a result.

People downplay it, but it seemed he was severely injured in his rematch with Volkov. He may have pulled off the robbery win, but he's taken a long time off. Either it worked and he's healed up or that he has a nagging injury that he may never look the same again. Hard fight to call.

I think if Gane looks loose on his feet and Aspinall can't take him down, he should have his way standing. But if it's the same Gane as his last fight, Aspinall should get an easy win.

I like this matchup. If Aspinall gets through Gane, the only guy left is Almeida and he's cleared the HW division besides rematches.

It was clear as day he was severely injured and we even have the first fight, same matchup, to compare with, when Gane was still green and Volkov was already a veteran. But Aspinall fans are like Khabib fans, more like a cult than rational human beings.

And they keep referencing Tuivasa landing one punch, when even Ngannou looked like a fucking jackass on the feet against Gane. He's not worried about bullshit low skill power punchers, he eats that for breakfast.

I really hope its Aspinall, cause if he loses to Gane, Jones will be laughing until the day he dies.
are you kinda dumb? Jones ducking the guy that lost is nothing to be laughing about would make him look even more foolish kinda like how you look now.

If Aspinall loses to Gane, which is never going to happen, then Jones's silly claim that beating Aspinall would do nothing for his legacy would be retroactively validated and Jones would be drunk-posting victory tweets about how he was right all along for days on end.

Yeah the Gane hate came directly after the Jones fight. It's so bizarre to constantly defend the guy. I don't even like him as a fighter, but he's more well rounded than people think. Unless he's perma compromised from his bad injury, he is going to surprise alot of people.

Might be a fairly competitive standup fight , but Tom so much better on the ground …..I’d pick Tom to win the standup as well , but at least Gane is very good striker

I guess i need to explain myself to you...i thought it was pretty obvious but English is my 2nd language, but here it is.

Imagine you are Jones, and the guy you dispatched in 2 minutes...beats the alleged biggest threat to you, cause Jones always said Aspinal had nothing to offer to him, and you better believe he actually believes it, i mean, Jones hasnt been beaten by anyone in MMA, including Hamill...You already beat the guy that beats the guy that was supposed to beat you with no issues, 2 minutes...you laugh about it until the day you die, "see, i was right, he had nothing on me...".

Exactly!!!!

The "hate" comes from the third ts he got after failing the first two times in an embarassing way and winning his last fight by robbery.

People that overrate him and look at him as a real threat to Tom or Jones also don't help.

Fighting Gane today is imho just record padding for Tom.

Gane should be fighting Almeida.

Tom I guess... Easy fight. I think it doesn't go past round 2, even. Gane was submitted by JJ in round 1. That should be easy for Tom, otherwise him vs JJ would be a joke.

I like Aspinall -- he should have a substantial advantage on the ground and although Gane is skilled, I just don't view him as a one-shot KO threat on the feet; seems to be more of a finesse volume striker that picks his shots at range.

If Tom takes more than 1 round to beat Gane, then we know he wouldn't beat Jon Jones... Common opponents, mma math in common opponents works almost always. JJ took 3 minutes, right? If Tom takes longer than that, we know he wouldn't beat Jones Bones. I think he can do it within 3 minutes, but I don't think he will. Let's see... Let's see if Tom was really a match for JJ

Aspinall anyway he likes. No, he does not have to take Gane down to win the fight. With his speed, explosive power and deceptive footwork, Gane's technical abilities while staying at raneg will not work. Aspinall just needs to touch Gane once and Gane will go to sleep. Just watch the Pavlovich fight.
