What a stupid fucking argument. One person on a bike will do fuck all. Do you think that's how slavery was stopped? Some guy said hey man I'm not gonna use cotton products.

If the 80 million or so of you who supposedly voted for Joe Biden all put your money where your mouth is, yeah, it would make a pretty big dent.

Especially since basically all the worst individual offenders (celebrities with private jets and yachts) are on your side.

But we all know the left doesn't have any intention of actually doing anything. This is all just political theater.

I have a registered weather station on my little farm and have noticed recently that the high temperature being reported s actually the temperature in the direct sun, around 2:00 pm.
Historically, reported temps are in the shade, 6’ above ground.
The change equates to a seven to ten degree increase in the daily reported high.

Just an FYI for anyone who finds it interesting.

Have you been reading the news Andy? The increase is people under 50.

CO2 is not bad, lol, you’ve been duped. Other emissions sure, the CO2 boogeyman will go down as one the most embarrassing assumptions in science we’ve ever made.

Accountability for what? Where do you think humanity would be without fossil fuels, dumbass?

You take full advantage of EVERYTHING fossil fuels have provided to mankind and have the audacity to call for accountability. Youre a travesty to reason.
Show me the sauce, chef.

And upon what do you base your assertion that I've been "duped"? The same total lack of evidence anti-vaxers use to defend their positions?

Who mentioned anything about "one person on a bike"? I said all people who believe in MMCC should make changes to their lives and THAT will make a huge difference, especially because I'm told the overwhelming majority of people believe in MMCC. It's as if they're a bunch of hypocrites. Don't strawman me and learn to read.

I don't think we necessarily need to do those anymore. We only still use them for serial threads that rack up a ton of versions (ex. NBA threads).
- OK. I wasclose to starting one:D

Heat wave claims lives of at least 125 in Mexico this year, hitting country’s most vulnerable

VERACRUZ, Mexico (AP) — When the nursing home in southern Mexico began to bake in the country’s ongoing heat wave, staff cycled their elderly residents through the few cooling options they had.

First, some would sit in front of fans buzzing in the sweltering heat of Veracruz. Then they’d be moved in front of the building’s few treasured air conditioning units. Then it was back to the record-breaking temperatures roiling the Veracruz state.
Anything to get through the climate change-fueled heat wave, which has left much of Mexico grappling with the mounting human toll of the heat.

“We have never before experienced a heat wave this intense, this powerful, this pervasive and this persistent,” said María Teresa Mendoza, director of the Cogra nursing home, operating for decades in the port of Veracruz. “This heat wave has killed many people here in Veracruz.”

At least 125 people in the Latin American nation have died due to the heat this year, according to data from the country’s health ministry. More than 2,300 more have suffered heat stroke, dehydration and sunburns.

The heat deaths and larger ripple effects in Mexico have underscored the disproportionate effects climate change and rising global temperatures are having on some of the world’s most vulnerable.

Victims in Veracruz have made up nearly a third of the deaths as temperatures have reached 100 degrees in the humid Mexican gulf state. Caregivers like Mendoza have been left scrambling to ease the suffering of her patients.

On Sunday, Mendoza stood in front of a group of elderly women in rocking chairs, many with their heads nodding downward due to the heat, which was hardly pierced by a set of fans rotating in front of them.

“We’re going to drink a bit of water. Sounds good?” she said. “Those are my girls.”

The heat has had cascading effects across Mexico. Howler monkeys and tropical birds have dropped dead from trees in southern Mexico. Residents scramble to fill up jugs of water, concerned about the heat compounding ongoing drought. Migrants walk north with little to ease the beating sun.

Emergency services in Veracruz have been responding to a greater number of heat-related emergencies in areas like warehouses and even open air spaces.

David Zebadúa Escalante, coordinator of state relief for the Mexican Red Cross in Veracruz, said medics respond to as many as five heat strokes a day. As a result, teams began rigging ambulances with ice and other equipment in an effort to save lives.

“We had to take certain measures in the ambulances, like putting ice packs inside, cold liquids, cold compresses so we could treat people who have had heat stroke,” he said.

He said medics often attend to people working long hours in the sun, with few breaks and little water, which makes people more vulnerable to heat stroke.

Meanwhile, construction workers like Jorge Misael Rodríguez keep on working. Drenched in sweat, Misael Ródriguez carries heavy equipment, bricks and planks on the site.

El Macho- People that dobnt believe in man made climate change, have small penis!

“You feel feverish, feel pain, and get tons of headaches. Once you’re at home, the pain starts. In your shoulders, back and arms,” Rodríguez said, gulping down water during a break. “It hits you hard.”

India may have recorded its hottest temperature ever amid severe heat wave

A temperature of 126 degrees Fahrenheit was measured near New Delhi.

One of the hottest countries on Earth potentially recorded its highest temperature ever.

India recorded a temperature of 52.3 degrees Celsius -- or about 126 degrees Fahrenheit -- on Wednesday at a weather station in Mungeshpur, a suburb of New Delhi, according to the India Meteorological Department.

The government is examining the data, saying that the temperature is an outlier compared to measurements at other stations and that there could be an error in the sensor or due to local conditions.

The temperature soared to more than 9 degrees Celsius higher than expected, according to the IMD.

Hot winds from northwestern India contributed to the hotter-than-expected temperatures, ABC News partner New Delhi Television (NDTV) reported.

The previous record at the Mungeshpur station occurred in 2002 -- 49.2 degrees Celsius (120.6 degrees Fahrenheit), according to NDTV. The previous record for hottest temperature recorded in India was in 2016, in Rajasthan, -- 51 degrees Celsius (123.8 degrees Fahrenheit), according to the IMD.

The India Meteorological Department released a severe heat wave warning for the region as a result of the forecast. Heat waves in India are considered "severe" once temperatures reach 6.5 degrees Celsius higher than normal.

A red alert health noticed was also issued in New Delhi, indicating a "very high likelihood of developing heat illness and heat stroke in all ages" for vulnerable groups within the region's population of 30 million.

Local government officials set limits on water usage, citing a shortage, and threatened to fine those using water unnecessarily, such as to wash a car, 2,000 rupees -- or $24 -- Reuters reported.

Rain forecast in New Delhi for Wednesday evening could raise humidity levels, according to the IMD.

India is one of the hottest countries in Asia, known for its tropical climate and long-lasting summer conditions. The early-season high temperatures could be a predicator to a scorching summer to come.

Copernicus, Europe's climate change service, has recorded 11 consecutive months of record-warm temperatures -- a trend that is likely to continue once the month of May has concluded.

Rising global temperatures are leading to longer and more frequent heat waves, according to climate scientists.

Sweltering heat that occurred across Asia in late April was 45 times more likely because of climate change, according to a study by the World Weather Attribution.

So does man only have an affect on the climate when it fits into whatever dumb ass conspiracy you've decided to buy into?
