You won't be in the minority. Nobody's seen an eighth of Katharine Hepburn's films if they've seen any at all.

Not only is Kate the GOAT actress, but behind Robert De Niro and Spencer Tracy she's just the GOAT. Audrey isn't even in the top 20 actresses or top 50 actors. Kate in Bringing Up Baby >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Audrey in My Fair Lady. And Kate in Alice Adams is behind De Niro in Raging Bull the GOAT screen performance.

Tell the truth: How many of Kate's films have you actually seen? If you've even seen the 10 you listed and didn't just Google them, I'll be impressed, but most people don't even know her stuff, much less know it well enough to have an informed opinion, much less the opinion that she's overrated.
Your opinion is always fact. Even when you like complete shit, never change

If you're saying she's the best actress of all time and the "GOAT" with De Niro then yes shes definitely overrated. I've seen her in:

1. Little Women
2. Adams Rib
3. Guess Who's Coming For Dinner
4. Rooster Cogburn
5. The Glass Menagerie

Im always open to check out some of her better movies so hit me with a few and ill check them out when I get around to it.

The AFI list Audrey at #3 on their list of best actresses of all time which has more merit than "shes not top 20"

Is Katharine one of the best actresses? Of course. Is she the best? Nope. Not to me.

That AFI list has Stanwyck at #11 and Monroe at #6. So its pretty obvious that acting skill takes a back seat to other criteria like cultural impact.

Ok there are several more lists I can use that have Audrey in the top 10. To say she isnt even top 20 is just a sign of a hater.

Okay, so you've seen 5 out of 53 films. You really feel comfortable stating so definitively that she's "definitely overrated" having seen 5 of her films, and only one of her record 4 Best Actress Oscar-winning performances? At least try to be a little open-minded and give inarguably one of the GOATs the benefit of the doubt. How harshly would you come down on someone in the Heavies claiming that Fedor was overrated based on two random RINGS fights, his PRIDE fights against Schilt and Hunt, and his Strikeforce fight with Rogers? Wait until you've assessed the career, and until you've seen the legend-making work in that career.

Im always open to check out some of her better movies so hit me with a few and ill check them out when I get around to it.

Prioritizing her best acting, I'd recommend Alice Adams (my pick for the GOAT screen performance behind only De Niro in Raging Bull), Stage Door, Woman of the Year, State of the Union, Suddenly, Last Summer, and The Lion in Winter.

And who do they have at #1? How much merit do you give that?

All I'm asking: Please wait until you've seen more than 5 of her films to make your judgment.

I've never thought much about ranking actors or where Audrey Hepburn would place in the pantheon of great female actors.

If you include actresses from all eras she'd be up against some very stiff competition to break into the top 10.

But I love her movies and what she could do she did very well.

Well, at least I can say that I've seen every film that Kate ever acted in and almost every film that Audrey ever acted in. My opinion, whether you agree with it or not, is at least an informed opinion. And that's all you can ask for from anyone.

To be fair to the rest of us, I don't think a lot of people on here have seen many Audrey films as well. Even if it's just 5 films. You are a very rare breed, considering what you do for a living. So you watch films, especially old ones all the time.

I think most if not all are basing their decision on just a few films of both actresses. So take it for what it is.

Katherine was the more talented actress in craft but Audrey had everything else by a mile - looks , charisma, much more engaging to audience.

I know. That's why I try my best to keep shit honest and to do what I can to encourage more people to watch more classic films. Especially with the proliferation of TV shows, streaming, podcasts, YouTube/Tiktok, so few people watch movies older than the 1970s, nevermind going back to the 1930s-1950s. When I can, I try to nudge people in that direction

As an actress, I may go with Katharine here.

She dated Howard Hughes (who didn't back then?).

I believe that she was also the love of Spencer Tracy's life (in real life).
