People dont understand how much of a commitment a fight is.

Imagine devoting a 2 month training camp towards something that there is no motivation for and does nothing for your career, whilst having to fight the toughest opposition available, and yet still not be considered the champion.

This logic on Stipe not being the greatest UFC HW of all time makes no sense sir. If you want to say he isn't great anymore that's debatable but not insane to say. By your logic GSP isn't the greatest WW of all time as he hasn't won a fight since 2017. 2-2 in his last 4 is a factual statement but applying it to his GOAT status is dumb as fuck. In his career he is 20-4 and his last 10 he is 8-2 with every single fight being against UFC champions except Reem and Hunt who both fought for the UFC title.

I agree that Jones vs Stipe is dumb but only because Jon is proclaimed "Undisputed HW Champion" while having only 1 fight at HW that was not against a current or even former champion and was essentially Paper beating Rock, the outcome was simply a forgone conclusion. Aspinall having been made Interim Champion should have automatically meant Jon fights him next or vacates and fights Stipe for the "Legacy" title or whatever BMF equivalent they want to call it.
