All time low interest point - Anyone else?

I think this perception is due to UFC's shit match making over the last 10 years. Its rematches and 'super fights' with no real intent other than 'money and ratings'. I mean I get it, its a fuckin business and all that jazz, but it's diluted the 'sport' and made it very WWE like. that aint good.

Style variance and competition level difference have been minimal in the mid level weight divisions. HW still got the power and the finishes, while the lower weights have fast-paced competitive scraps. There's just so many point fighters and wet blankets I could do without.

Ufc is dying. But in all seriousness, its honestly dead here in Brazil. Nobody talks about it

Brazil doesnt care about MMA, they care about Brazilian MMA and MMA fighters. If one of there own isnt champ they could care less from my experience.

Sports are dead. Go make a reaction channel to fans reacting to fighters reacting to fighters fighting in reaction videos

What about Poatan? He's on a all time high and several of my friends never heard of him

I wrote this thread a couple weeks ago or so...

Basically there are too many fight cards. That's the simple answer. But the UFC is committed to producing these events for ESPN, and so it is. It waters things down.

It’s just about to get good again bro
I can feeeeeeel it

I've felt this way for a while. There's just few potential fights that would truly get me excited, and most of those wind up falling through or getting pushed back.

I'm definitely not someone who thinks the guys today aren't as good. The skill level is higher, but so is the coaching, gameplanning and parity. Less guys take risks. There are more boring fighters who are unaware of how unriveting they are who are calling for superfights.

I used to appreciate the fact that there were cards every week but the cards are getting progressively less interesting. God bless those that are interested but when they're running women's strawweight contender matches as main events i think the plot has been lost.

Me too! Even food sucks!
Wanna do a girly suicide pact and hold hands while we fade into the dark instead?

True, and of course "marketability" played into every decision I imagine, but they still had much more of a drive to grab all the top talent they could get their hands on.
OP, burn out is real. I took a year or two break from the sport when it got boring to me 2017-2018 and only watched a small handful of events then.

This is inarguably true IMO. There is nothing about the way the company puts on events now that is better except for production value. The cards are more watered down, with now seemingly hundreds of no name no face B and C level fighters that take up main card spots (Bo vs whatever can he KO'd)
I picked a random card, top of my head, 115.
Every fight on the main card was worth a watch when they were conceptualized.

I clearly remember uncle Dana bragging about boxing matches have one good fight and the rest are fillers while he stacks his cards with 5 stacked fights.

Now we get one good fight and fillers.

No way, we just got GOATlal as champ and next week we have Sandhagen and then we got just one weak card and then Izzy vs Dricus

Here's a fucking guy that gets it.
Well said sir.
This is what happens when UFC shifts it's focus from building talent to building a corporate brand.

The brand power is so strong only long time hard-core fans can identify a massive decline in talent.

The average U FIGHT CHEAP casual legit thinks he's seeing the best and most talent filled product he's ever watched.

UFC has become the Amazon of MMA. Fast, cheap, convenient but absolutely SOULLESS.
