If Diego and Jean Silva win by finish, it will be sad to see Ilia go

He beats two legends on their way out then runs away from all the new young contenders of his own generation. It's like if Weidman decided he did all he could do at 185 because he already beat Anderson, Machida, Vitor.

But can't hate Topuria because he's wanting to take on the biggest challenges at 155 apparently, takes some serious stones. Seems like he doesn't want to be in MMA for too long so he wants to up the ante and go for the jackpot while he has the chance.

Talking like the p4p rankings actually mean something gets you ignored. They are promotional tools used to manipulate the audience into caring more about whomever the UFC is trying to hype.
Point is Volk was a legit champion at the time they fought, i usually dont have a problem with a champion moving up for a 2nd belt win or lose, i dont have an issue with the bigger guy beating him, im not a fan of Makhachev so im not defending him, nothing against him either, guy could disappear from the face of the earth and i wouldnt lose any sleep about it, but there is a thing when you mention he has defended against a FW like its a bad thing, but now that he isnt interested in beating another FW you are calling him out on that too...

Everything is a promotional tool when it comes to MMA, rankings and belts, there is no org sanctioning them, its all in house, promotion owns everything,

He clearly wants to make an impact like Conor without doing all the talking. Sorry but not sorry to Topuria fans but although Ilia might be more skilled, Conor is still light years ahead stardom wise. He was just that masterful at selling tickets.

He gave up a belt and tons of money to take an opportunity to chase glory at LW. That leads me to believe his intentions are pure in caring about his legacy.

As for the Islam fight, Islam is the best LW in the world and I want to see him in competitive fights. Ilia is #3 P4P right now it's hard to just dismiss him as any old FW. For the time being, Arman blew his shot. I think it's the fight to make.
